Great band...shame about the singer
I have quite a few but I'd be interested to hear other members' nominations in this category. It can be a singer who you think is just plain bad OR a singer whose voice you just don't like for whatever reason. Or both.
New Order is my first suggestion. |

Sorry AC DC fans, like some of their tunes. Can't be doing with either singer. Past or present.
Rolling Stones, Dire Straits also. Can appreciate the musicianship but the voices either bore or grate on my ears. |

I could take Muse a lot more if Matt Bellamy didn't sing terrible lyrics in his... inimitable style.

I don't like Bruce Dickinson's singing, but can listen to Iron Maidens playing and enjoy it.

I'm not completely against Jagger but when you hear Merry Clayton, Lisa Fischer or Tina Turner sing with him I often wonder how good The Stones would have been with one of those girls as lead?

Not very. Jagger is integral to the creative process and the chemistry of the band. Put someone else in there and everything would be completely different.

Liam Gallagher. I quite like a couple of oasis songs with Noel singing, but can't stand Liam's nasal whine

I'd say Guns'n'roses.
I can't believe people are seriously saying the Stones! |

The reason Oasis worked was because of Liam's singing. Noel singing Live Forever or Shakermaker is unimaginable.

The Stones without Jagger?
Impossible. His style, his writing, and his personality are vital to what they achieved. It's like saying Blondie without Debbie Harry. |

Would have to say U2 & Bono, not so much for the singing. Just find his smugness and arrogance nauseating.

Of course he is, so is Keith and he doesn't sing as much. It's an opinion not a dictat. Yeah and it would be different that's the point!

Ozzy Osbourne, awful singer but a character. Early Black Sabbath is great. |

Of course there are a few bands with not great singers- Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Blockheads for example but they wouldnt be the same without them! |

Cheating a bit because it's not the lead singer, but The Automatic ( remember Monster?) had this extremely annoying back-up singer with a voice only dogs should be able to hear, also adds nothing to the song.
