4G at Home and Wi-Fi
Despite having opened a thread just over a week ago when we had an unusual but scheduled power outage and then I found out that an EE mast serving my home was down, so I had no internet access even on my smartphone for the day I still see a few threads here and on other forums where it's considered so important to have 4G access at home.
My power outage was an extreme rarity and only happened due to maintenance work in the street. So why is it considered important. Surely at home we use our Wi-Fi connections and therefore 4G is not relevant? What am I missing? |

I'd agree magic. My only downside is at home I at best could get E Only. Now for the most it's fine as I use wifi but now and then I've wanted to do a video call back to wife at home and it needs 3g.Video calls are same price and included with O2. So out n about I might have H or 4g but cause wife at home it won't go through.
It is a rarity though but maybe a reason. |
