Hi,

I recently jumped from an HTC phone to an iPhone 6. My HTC was backed up using the HTC built-in back up tool to my Google account. Logging in via the web I cannot see these files anywhere. Is this because I can only access them using HTC Sync or can anyone suggest how I might be able to retrieve the backup file. It's really just text messages I'd like back as I backed up photos using my computer also.

Thanks.

You won't be able to transfer files via back-up.

Then photos should be easy enough from the PC.

There are various utilities to transfer texts from Android to iPhone, but you will need to still have access to the original phone. Do you still have it?

Thanks.

I don't have the phone but have the SMSs backed up to an app on an SD card also. So if I stick that in an old phone I can I can get them to my iPhone? Do you recommend a programme or way of doin it? Thanks again, really appreciated

Sorry, but the backup of the SMS will be app specific, and almost certainly won't work on an iPhone.

I changed from Windows Phone to an iPhone last year, and I just had to take the hit of losing all my old texts. It doesn't take long for the contacts to build up again.
