Nokia Lumia 635 Help needed
Hi,
I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have a sim free Nokia Lumia 635. I have been using it with a Three mobile sim for the last six months. I have just changed to Tesco Mobile because of poor signal in my area. My problem is that when I switch on the phone I keep getting the Three Logo on starting up. I have deleted all apps etc. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Marina |

If it's on startup the phone is probably branded for Three and you can't do much about it. You could try to reset it to factory settings and set it up again with the new SIM in it from the start.

The three logo on start up doesn't mean anything really, your phone will still connect to other networks if unlocked.

Three phones are not network locked anyway and wiping the phone will have no effect. The only way to do it is to flash the country variant (i.e. unbranded) firmware for your device. Look here
http://www.xda-developers.com/how-to...p8-stock-roms/ for a guide. It isn’t hard and I did it to my EE branded L830. However the usual cautions apply, you could brick your phone etc. I just depends how much that 3 splash screen annoys you. I know it would seriously piss me off. |

You could just close your eyes for five seconds while it boots up, it's less work

Thank you for replying. The phone is not branded to three it is unlocked and purchased via Amazon. I will try a factory reset if all else fail.

EBAY tend to sell debranding 'kits' for about a fiver which I have used with some of my previous Samsung phones, easy to use too
Now have Lumia 830 with Windows, and I am quite impressed too ! not as many apps a Android but Windows seems to work very well

The lumias are a great phone, I worked in the industry and have had every type of phone imaginable but I would have another Lumia in a heartbeat
