Have T-mobile and Orange finished?
I was reading a best PAYG comparison on Kens Tech Tips and it said there are no longer sims being given away for Orange and T-mobile.
Those of us who still possess a T-Mobile sim (my six month net booster expires next month), will the packages become invalid? Also have they closed down? |

EE is the successor (and is currently owned by Orange, SA the renamed France Telecom, and Deutsche Telekon the German national telco who owned all T-Mobile networks). EE no longer let you start new Orange or T-Mobile contracts or PAYG services - but existing services stay going. So if you need a new SIM you need to get an EE SIM - but you can carry on using your T-Mobile SIM, but maybe if you let it expire (don't top up for 3 months etc) then you may have to get a new EE SIM to reconnect. |

Afaik there is only EE now, but I don't know what that means for Orange/T-Mob PAYG customers. Obviously customers on legacy contracts can be moved over to EE once their contract is up, but as for someone buying 3G data bundles from T-Mobile, I wonder if that's still ongoing.

Your sim should continue to work for the foreseeable future but there are no new T-Mobile or Orange sims coming into the retail channel anymore as EE are now concentrating on the EE brand. |

They haven't closed down, the brands are just being wound down by the brand owner, EE.

The Mifi unit I use on T mobile payg still takes you to a T mobile page to top up, check balance and help and support is still all T mobile branded. One good thing the 180 day cut off clause doesn't occur I have left it nearly a year before topping up in the past and still works.

T Mobile & Orange Sim Cards are still available on Amazon & EBay but I do think it will revert to EE when the new sim is activated.

Thank you guys for your answers. I was just worried in case I would lose the allowances.
BT mobile will be indeed interesting? |
