He was briefly in the hour-long episode last week. Max is one of the more major characters so they're probably just giving the character a few weeks break before returning to him. With Phil probably back at some point, business will really pick up.

He is just waiting for the incredibly dull and totally inevitable 'owning' scene by TPTB's tinpot God.

They are coming in 2 weeks time, when Phil dishes out his revenge, it had to happen it is EastEnders tradition after all.
![]() I cannot wait to see the 'hilarious' scene where he 'owns' big time criminal Vincent. Yawn. |

He probably followed Tanya home
Pissing over her front door and turning over her bin. He's like a dog in heat. A dirty dog. Dirty, dirty Max. |

If this happens with Vincent I'll be so irritated! I want Vincent to be badder than that. Surely Phil has to go under at some point? I'm fully aware there are older criminals who can still hold their own but surely Phil's owning just about every younger, fitter man that comes his way is ridiculous! I am sick and tired of the Mitchells going on about being Mitchells. I want Vincent to be top dog in the Square.

I know Phil will win the war but I'm hoping they let Max take some of the battles first. He needs a few little victories to make the rivalry a good story.

It actually feels like this is the quiet period when he was doing strictly which I was certain happened earlier. Maybe he did someone thing. The show does need to be stricter on how many bigger characters can go at any one time as the secondary characters don't appeal to everyone and don't capture as much interest and aren't played by the storngest actors.

Max needs a storyline of his own, and being owned by Phil Mitchell isn't going to do it for me. Perhaps the two of them could work together rather than against each other. I can't remember the last thing Max did that didn't revolve around a woman.
