The male cast does need improving. I'd love David tennent to join one of these days but that's highly unlikley :L

Martin and kush need to be used more and strengthen. Jac did amazing as she developed lauren whereas the beginning she was awful but she improved. Lee also need alot more screentime and him and liam sesperatly need a story. Hopefully then will people see Danny-boy is a capable actor. Also their friendships need to be reestablished like ian/Alfie has

I have gone off him ever since he did My Family. I thought he was truly awesome with that thing he did with Julie Walters where they played husband and wife.

Stan the character can't be replaced by the casting of another big name actor. The casting of Timothy West worked because Stan's a good character, even a big name would not flourish in a rubbish role. I would not want them to rush into introducing a new character, who mightn't be any good, just to have another big name actor on their books.

I have to admit I am impressed by the executive producer DTC for getting an actor of Tim Wests calibre to agree to a long term role. Corrie only got him for a few episodes.

Can he be replaced? No. But I hope the producers try to continue bringing in people of his caliber.

The guy that was in Stan's ward this evening, Andrew Sachs, is a fairly accomplished actor himself. Given his role as Manuel in Faulty Towers opposite Timothy West's wife Prunella Scales aka Sybil, I'm sure they must be friends in real life.

Timothy West is pure class and will be a loss but i always thought Stan would be a short time character anyway.
