I've been on EE a couple of months and literally 2 moments ago I received a call they wanted to ask a few questions, I said I was busy and could they call tommorow and they just said OK bye.

It was an 01469 number?

Wouldn't it say EE or 150?

I've had calls back from EE customer services with CLID from 07973 100 xxx numbers (the old Orange customer services numbers) but never from 150, and I assume the 07953 966250 number range is also in the system.

I would guess that's a sales outfit trying to get you to buy a new line ("upgrade" in their terms).

That code is for these areas in Lincolnshire, so it seems quite local to you:

Barrow upon Humber
Immingham
Killingholme
Roxton
Wootton

Sales call, probably from a T-Mobile "sales partner".

PHONE CALLS FROM T-MOBILE AND OUR PARTNERS

T-Mobile
From time to time you may be contacted by us or our selected partners to be told about additional products and services.
If you've received a call of this nature from one of our authorised partners, you can confirm it's genuine by checking they're calling from one of the numbers below:

No need to assume the worst….

60% of the time when you've been in touch with EE about something, they will follow up the call to check everything was sorted out or something you wasn't happy about such as the service or person/website you spoke to/used.

Some people straight away jump to it and say spam/sales call…

I've always got these by text. Or if they're calling they should really use an area code they *own* as a phone company. Like 07973 (ex Orange) or 07953 (ex Tmobile).

(showing my age, I type 0973 !).

I received a call lat week from a similar number who said the represented EE, they offered me an upgrade on my data, from the 2 gb I get to unlimited for only an extra £7 per month.

Hardly ever use my data as I have wifi at home and work so thought it was pointless

EE dont and Orange dont. T-mobile used to have a plan called Full Monty which was advertised as unlimited but people on it had slow data speeds at all times. I assumed Full Monty went when T-mobile plans went.

The 01462 numbers aren't T-Mobile, they are usually from a retailer like Chitter Chatter Telecom who are authorised to do cold sales calls to customers on behalf of T-Mobile.

I wasn't really assuming, I know the number .

I've had the calls as well. When answered two have been silent calls and one has been background noise in a call centre. EE do like to try my patience. If you call back there is a recorded message saying no further action is needed.
