At it's most extreme, I guess it's this:

http://understanding.infantilism.org...nfantilism.php

ABDL stands for Adult Baby Diaper* Lover. *nappy in the UK. People can be either or both.

It's a subject that we covered in Sociology at college. The condition is normally associated with male heterosexuals.

There have been allegations about this for a long time, prompting some fans to write fictional stories about it on the internet.

Glad you said rumours. I would think this is fan fiction which the blind gossip sites have read and decided to take it as a fact.

Honestly no wonder the guy can't cope with the stress . He is called a terrorist because he is Muslim and now he's supposedly into ABDL . SHEESH!!

No-one said he got stressed over the photos did they?

To be fair, they don't have to go on Twitter.

Internet social media sites are heavily populated by cowardly idiots who abuse people on-line, because it allows them to show their inner ugly without the risk of consequences or physical reprisals.

These guys are young & have grown up with social media & should be well aware of this.

They need to keep away from social media, because they don't need it now.

They're so huge now & their fanbase is established, at least until they all leave school and get boyfriends.

I thought I saw it somewhere earlier on this thread or elsewhere? I don't know

I've done a quick search and found this fan fiction from a 17 yo girl who wants to indulge in age play with One Direction.

http://www.wattpad.com/33937195-fix-...potty-training

Not having much contact with 17 yo girls, I am guessing that her loving feelings towards the band members are becoming intermingled with her emerging maternal feelings prompted by the rumours about Zayn.

Well the media seems to imply that it is. This is what you mostly get if you look at Google:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...ection-5373647

I'm not one of those people who are saying Zayn is not allowed to be stressed or that he doesn't know what real stress is, but this is just ridiculous;

http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/94789886.html

However, kudos to their PR for spinning this into a great, commendable thing.

Implying it and having any facts at all are two completely different things.

Well of course but no one can't say that this isn't in fact true either. It sounds very logical since it happened days after those photo and immediately after that tweet "I love Perry" - its easy to put 2 and 2 together. He could be very well feel the actual stress because of those allegations. Still, citing stress is a weak argument, even if it is true. They (Syco) must have know how weak it would sound.

The truth is nobody has a clue what happened. The only people that know are Zayn and the girl. One thing I would say is that the mum of this woman, and other friends and family members have all said nothing happened. Ordinarily in a story like this, someone would leak that they slept together. If nothing did happen, I could see why Perrie would be upset that they held hands.

As for the stress thing, it isn't just about the present situation. Do you look at Twitter? Silly little girls are horrid about Perrie, and people also give him grief because he's Muslim. And when this thing blew up recently lots of people made up their minds at what happened straight away. It must be really upsetting. Also, not just him but the rest of the group get treated by these girls as if they are these girls' property.

You are assuming you know the truth. Perhaps he was stressed and this was the final straw. Falling out with your fiance is a hugely stressful event that could have tipped him over the edge.

Yes, some of these fans are really obsessed. It would be best for them to just go on Twitter less as possible and not to worry about those extreme examples. And of course even if he didn't cheat on Perrie, she is rightfully upset about him holding hands with other women, especially since he has apparently cheated before.

It is definitely hard to be in so much scrutiny but I still stand on my previous point that it is unprofessional that he left the tour. But I do wish him sell. Although he and Louis could have been smarter and not acting like morons smoking weed and actually filming themselves while doing it, they came off as cocky and obnoxious which did annoy me.

Of course I don't know the truth but neither do you.

You also said that 'citing stress is a weak argument even if true'. Do you expect them to lie?

Quite frankly yes when you have a good PR. You should say things that show you in a best way. Saying you are stressed automatically gives tons of replies like: I am also stressed and yet I have to work. Which is exactly what happened.

Like I said, it especially looks bad if they soon will have a 2 month pause from touring.

Well i'm glad they've told the truth, presuming it is the truth. There shouldn't be a stigma around stress and anxiety, they should be applauded.

Geez the media are having a field day with this whole thing, know they write things like:

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz/4...nsults-lawyers

Well, Simon did give them a tricky contract to sign which is a bit unfair in my opinion - if the guy wants to leave, he should be allowed to do so. Boybands can survive with 4 members, its not impossible.

Indeed. I'd imagine whatever his contract says, if he has been signed off with stress by a Doctor there is little the record company can do.

If Zayn didn't do anything like he says, why has he gone in to hiding then?

If he's feeling stressed out from being accused with sleeping with this girl then something's not right.

If you were innocent, you would continue regardless what everyone else thought.

It's not just about this girl. It's about lots of other things. He's shy and not that happy being in the spotlight.

That link is from The Daily Star. Possibly the worst and most untruthful newspaper in Britain. It's great for a laugh, but not as a news source.

I honestly don't know. Some rumours turn out to be true and some don't.

If he has taken to regression techniques to gain comfort, fair play to him, it's better than taking to drink, drugs etc.

It also seems odd that the whole ABDL thing is being attributed to him in fan fiction, whereas (to my knowledge) it isn't to other individuals.
