The one time they genuinely should be on the show
It's the NEXT DAY and they're still not back from their day out or whatever it was

Never mind your dad can't walk Mick
Never mind he's stuck in a hospital about to die

You guys have fun on your very big day out

It's unrealistic they have not been informed and returned.

I think from a viewer perspective, it's been nice to have a break from Mick and Linda. I get this feeling that when Dean returns we are going to experience weeks of angry Mick and worried Linda so it's good to have a reprieve.

I think Tina said that they weren't letting them know. Idk...it's weird. I know they were obviously unable to film because of live rehearsals and stuff but they really should have just had Stan or someone say 'you just missed Mick & Linda' or something so it wasn't as glaring that they weren't there. Ofc if they had even been mentioned I'm certain a few of the usual suspects on here would gave moaned about that.

People are moaning because of the timing.

Most of the big characters - mick, linda, phil, max, ronnie, ian and Jane are all absent and the they all have a big storyline going. A mick and linda break (considering they had one at new year) could of waited until stan died and deans whereabouts reveal. The less of mick I see over the next few months the better. He is so boring now.

Mick and Linda only have been missing for 2 weeks so I don't know why people are complaining about it. Some of the big characters like Kat and Sharon have big storylines so it's not just the background characters taking centre stage.

I'm glad Phil and Ronnie will be back soon

Sharon has barely featured this week and lat hasn't been on this week either. Kat has been the main stable idling the show for those who don't like secondary characters. While I like them I know some don't as they don't care about them because they are underdeveloped and such.

If Stan had any time for his family I expect they would have contacted them, but he doesn't want to know them (apart from the money), he only has time for Cora. He only made up with Tina so she could run around getting him an engagement ring. Besides, he's not about to take his last breath. Considering what a bastard he is, Mick and Linda have been pretty good to him.

Oh yeah that's true. Sharon hasn't appeared for 2 weeks and Kat wasn't in this week's episodes. I don't mind the background characters but I prefer some of the major characters in every day's episodes. The only background characters I like is Donna and Kush. At least next week, it will be more interesting when Linda, Alfie, Jane, Ian, Sharon, Cindy, etc are back

BIB - oh you mean when Mick was aggressive and hurt Stan after Tina gave him the drink that would have killed him? Mick has never been that kind to Stan and he's a dying man

This forum is so contrary. I know it'll be different posters but if the Carters feature there are threads complaining about the Carter show, and now it's where are they?

I don't think it's massively unreasonable that, with everything that's gone on, they've decided not to ruin a romantic break to Dublin - particularly, I guess, as Stan isn't Mick's dad and they clearly have a very troubled relationship. You can also argue that that's all the more reason to get him back so that they can make peace, but the absence of Mick and Linda isn't really bothering me so far. Bear in mind that when he does die, we're not likely to see Johnny at the funeral - it's just one of those annoying soap things that I guess we have to put up with.

BIB: Stan was totally irresponsible and careless dropping that kind of pressure on his own daughter, not only was he putting Tina in an illegal situation which could see her imprisoned but he was completely able bodied at the time so there was nothing stopping him from killing himself, relieving his family of the guilt of killing him and the legalities that come with it.

Stan could have got Tina put in prison by forcing her to kill him, but he didn't give a hoot. He is lucky Mick didn't throw him out. It's not as if he deserves to be there, he was never a father to his children.

Stan was so selfish asking Tina to commit a crime . At that stage Stan could easily have done it himself wirhout involving anyone
Mick was right to defend Tina from possibly ruining her life

Yes it's a crime that shouldn't be a crime in some people's view. It's one of those topics which really decides strong opinions.

YES. I've kind of reached my limit with Stan. Being a bit cantankerous was initially part of his charm and yes he's facing the end of a terminal illness, but he's turned into a real ass as of late. I can understand why Nancy, Shirley, and Lee aren't rushing to spend time with him, nor are Mick and Linda in a hurry to come back to London to see him. Even Tina, who has been nothing but caring and sweet where Stan is concerned, is finally starting to lose her patience. They're verbally assaulted by Stan regardless of whether they're present, so why bother being around to hear it? In the case of Mick and Linda, Stan is scoffing about Dean to their faces while they let him live with them.

Stan, you've lamented about all of the mistakes you've made with your family and how time is now running out. Maybe you should go easy on the constant bitching?
