Nesting falcons have interrupted Vodafone 4G mast upgrades in London. Five pairs of nesting falcons have have built nests on the networks masts. These include a church, a hospital and an office block. They cannot be disturbed under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Still at least they get a good signal and maybe a little bit of heat too. Its good to squawk

I believe the same thing happened to every mast when Vodafone tried to do 3G upgrades 10 years ago.

Can't imagine Vodafone is too happy about this.

How dare these so called falcons nest in the way of progress. They should be exterminated with extreme prejudice, with the results streamed live to all Vodafone 4G customers' handsets.

Do birds generally prefer Vodafone then?
The feathered kind, before anyone gets clever!

Nothing to be done. People will just have to wait. Nesting season will be over soon enough.

Great excuse.. Funny that it only has happened to Vodafone or at least that they want to publicly talk about it.

They made the mistake (as we all do from time to time) of erecting masts that had places that were a perfect fit for Falcon shaped nests.
Easily done.... easily done...

Or the tech is so old the "Falcons" think it's part of nature due to the lack of recent upgrades..

As the 4G masts are a new thing, does that make them Millennium Falcons?

I'm aware of at least a couple of cases of people losing Sky reception because birds (probably not falcons ) built nests in their dishes, so anything is possible!

Like here, it was tough luck- they had to wait until the birds had gone.

Hopefully the people weren't charged.

We have a pigeon every year tries to build a nest on our dish.

Every day i have to push its work to the floor during the nesting season.
