Football is 'blurry' all of a sudden...

Hi guys. I googled this earlier but I found nothing very recent.

I have an LG Smart 3D TV, model number 42LA660V-ZA. I have had it for just over a year and I would swear by it and it's picture quality. Football was always excellent and there was never any sort of 'blur', but the last few days I have noticed a 'blur' behind footballs that are moving fast. Almost like a ghost football following it's path. I checked with my brother who has the same TV and he started noticing it recently too. The only thing we can find in common is that both of our TV's got a software update the other day to version: 04.26.05.

I have tried playing with sharpness and TruMotion but nothing changes it. Is it something that LG have messed up and, more importantly, can I get rid of it somehow?

Thanks

Davy

As your brother is noticing the same problem with the same TV, it seems likely that the firmware update is the culprit.

If you have fiddled with all the relevant settings and the problem still persists then I don't think you "can get rid of it", unless there is a way to revert back to the previous version of the firmware.

Probably the best option is to report the issue with LG, maybe they are already aware of it and are preparing a fix.

Turn off all the picture processing settings, anything that includes the word Dynamic in the label especially. In my experience they only knacker the picture quality rather than enhance it. It's the first thing I do with any telly I get. And I have yet to miss having any of these features working.
