I miss George and his mum and step dad! They made me laugh every time!
So do I. Especially the Mum. She was good value all the time.

When they watched Star Wars.

"Fancy training all those years to be an actor and then only playing a Chewbacca" ...
Top Gear in Burma "what are they doing in Bermuda"

Something like that anyway.

A shame they can't return like the other family did.

Giles about Antiques RdShow: "It's not likely to have any depraved content, is it Mary?"

Giles on rubies: "Have you any rubies Mary? Could you go and look because I really fancy a Winter Sun holiday"

he cracks me up

Didn't she call Chewbacca a 'Schumacher?'
She was great, and a really nice lady too, you could tell. Her accent was fantastic too.

The woman in black is only a 15 hardly the worlds scariest film
Scary has no relation to age restriction certificates though. What makes WiB scary is the unremitting suspense of it - the fear of the unknown.
That can be much scarier than a gory 18+ bloodbath film.

Has the Malone daughter ever made an appearance?
Not that I can recall. As the narrator referred to her as "Julie's daughter" rather than "Tom and Julie's daughter", I'm guessing that she's somewhat older than the boys and therefore lives in her own place.

If that lynching photo is the one I've seen before it was taken in 1964, not that long ago, the crowd was 20,000 strong.
That particular photo was from the 30's.

Why does the Tappers sofa keep changing colour or am I imagining this?
I think they must have got a new sofa between the last series and this one. The clips at the beginning of the episode are from old series. I think that's it anyway.

By far the funniest line to come from this show was "It's not a very nice day for it.." from mother Moffatt in that show about Anne Boleyn. Best family on there by far.

I loved them from the beginning - great repartee, and Scarlett is quick-off-the-mark always.
Many people were quite vitriolic about them on here a while ago.

I'm enjoying the fact that they are watching a more diverse range of programmes this time round. lt was getting a bit boring with the families always watching X Factor, Strictly and the news.

I do dislike it when they play up to the cameras though. I find it hard to believe that in her 50+ years, Sandra has never heard the word 'salmon' pronounced correctly and as for Dave Malone not knowing where the teabags and mugs are! Honestly! Still, the vicar is by far the most annoying Goggleboxer!

Getting fed up of Leon and June and Scarlett Moffatt. The new girls Izzi and Ellie seem so fake. The vicar is really annoying and sanctimonious although has her funny moments.

Exactly, give me the chills and uneasiness of an atmospheric ghost story such as The Woman in Black or those M.R.James adaptations over gory, sweary horror film any time of the night.
After Sandy and Sandra's scared (but funny to us) reactions to last year's 'Remember Me', the ghost story set in Scarborough with Michael Palin, I was hoping that we'd get to see their reactions to The Woman in Black.

I agree. They've always been one of my favourites, I started watching when they were new. (i think it was early 2014) People generally seem to be more positive towards them than when they started.

£15 quid a night supposedly:

Channel 4's Gogglebox is 'under threat' following a pay row between the show's stars and producers, a newspaper report has claimed.

The couch potato critics are said to be upset that their £15-a-night wage will not increase despite the programme's critical and ratings success.

Having pulled in 2.7 million viewers a week in a Friday night primetime slot and bagging a TV BAFTA this month, it is believed some cast members are keen to to earn a few more quid.

Geordie Goggleboxer Scarlett Moffat, 23, is quoted as saying the families only "get their leccy bill and takeaways" covered.

Only £15 a night?

I suppose the producers think they should be thankful to be chosen for the show.

Is that £15 for every night they watch a show or that Google box is shown?

I think its £15 per viewing session per person.

I heard somewhere its cos its made by some niche department in C4 like "Education Documentaries" or somesuch that has a teeny tiny annual budget.

I really don't think she's that bad. They're showing repeats of old Gogglebox on More4 atm and you see much more footage of her and Graham laughing, sharing a joke, playing a duet on their piano in the background, and Graham is more smiley and pulls her leg.

But the 'narrative' now is that Kate is a shrew and Graham is a hen-pecked victim.
Just like it was the Wordenweber's 'narrative' that Jay never said a single word.

I still can't believe people don't understand that stories are woven and edited on purpose, even on programmes like this.

I keep thinking his name is Dave too but it's actually Tom. It's one of the dogs that's called Dave!

Was almost about to say the reverse.

Leon is really growing on me - he's now being shown as far more than a grumpy old man. The Moffatt family, I find, are fairly good value.

But I do agree with you about the vicar. I can only think of one reason why he puts up with her.

My gripes are with the pair from Brighton (any need for that swearing?) and San and Sandra (in particular the bigger of the two) who are so fake, it's untrue. It's like these four are auditioning for the next series of a "celebrity" reality show.
