I really like the new couple. Their observations are intelligent (OK...maybe not the criminalised earlobes - I googled it - it is a theory but seems to be ridiculed).
She has a seemingly large collection of psychedelic tights.....

Has anyone seen the original They say that it is a way better film

I preferred the remake.

It's one of the few remakes that's actually better than the original. IMO

Yes, but it made a better programme without their OTT antics

They've really pushed them in our faces, this series so maybe it's backfired on them. They're ok in small doses but I was really starting to dislike them. Hopefully, Channel 4 can get the balance right.

Yep, which is why it's been the best of the series so far.

Their reactions to the film are unnatural and annoying.
You perfectly summed up the show in a sentence, when I first heard of the show I thought it was going to be people critiquing shows that they chose to watch. Instead the producer has them watch and 'react' to shows they have given to them........loud, louder, facial grabs, screams - who does that??

I can't knock the viewing figures - but the show is old hat now.

Did anyone other than TV people give a stuff about this reburial?
Yes, lots of people do, including me.

Just because you don't, it doesn't mean others don't.

Yes, that was such a relief. The little bit we did see of them was too much imo

I wonder whether the producers of Gogglebox scan this thread for feedback? Just asking since I notice Sandy and Sandra come in for a lot of criticism here (re. too much airtime) and that they were not on much this time.

Does UKIP approve of orange people?
You don't know about Robert Kilroy-Silk then?

Totally agree.

Also still liking the dead-pan comments from the new couple too.

Not sure the younger children should have been watching Cape Fear though. Bet at least one had nightmares that night.

Best show of the series for me tonight, I really laughed at a lot of the Siddiqui's comments and the Moffats father impression of the mafia

Agree RE Sandra and Shelley aswell

Mmmm Cherry Bakewells!

Dog Cock
Two clips of it - my fault for preferring to watch the pets.
Keeps the producers amused I suppose.

Not keen on the new couple. Seem to say things for effect (on the viewer).

And, do they live in the country's smallest room, or something, crammed uncomfortably looking into that corner?

Do people really scream and make such a noise when watching films, as most Goggleboxers seem to do?

We said that too. I mentioned on the thread a few weeks back how I find them playing to the camera far too much. It seemed to open a can of worms as loads of posters agreed and each week, there were more. They were not really discussing the programmes, it was all messing about.

Last night was really enjoyable and the vicars hubby had an opinion too!
Siddiquis are my favorite family, always constructive comments with humour thrown in.
The Moffats are funny too, Scarlett never seems to relax, always sitting on the edge of the seat, not at all comfortable for tv viewing.
Good show tonight.

This =D

The best episode of the series so far, I love the new couple too and they'll soon be part of the Friday night furniture.

I find their observations interesting and not at all staged....unlike some others!!!

I also love their place - they are artists. It would seem that the TV is in a corner i.e. not dominating their house - kudos to them for that.

As someone else pointed out the other week, I love that her chair matches the wallpaper behind her.

The two friends in the caravan have grown on me. They are rather endearing.

The new couple [Alan Bennett and bright tights wearing lady] have a fabulous home. Yet they do seem to be squashed into a very small corner of it! Wonder why?
Bet she looked stunning when she was younger. She looks like she might have been a Model in the 60's.

I think the Vicar has more tea cosies than I have had hot dinners.

I wish Scarlett would sit back in her seat.
No such problem with the sprawling Tappers.

Wonder what June and Leon's children are like?

It does look like the family with the hat wearing cat have gone.
