I was surprised by how may people seemed shocked that chimps eat meat,god help them when they find out pandas do too given the chance

A chimp eating a furry bit of meat (for survival) is shocking and disgusting.
A human eating balls and live worms (purely to humiliate) is icky but entertaining fun.

I am surprised nobody mentioned chimps were not monkeys themselves, but a completely different species. The scene was little different from Lions killing and eating a wild cat or dog.
Or maybe they didn't realize chimpanzees were carnivorous?
