I doubt it was due to homophobia else they wouldn't be on the programme in the first place. Maybe their remarks about anal rehydration were too risque... (more likely!)

No no no, I was referring to the FM I quoted, calling them "gay boys" and expecting them to comment on enemas, presumably as it involves things being put up the arse. I found that post quite homophobic.

Oh I see. That wasn't clear. Yes, not a politically correct association...but they ARE gay!

You're missing out. I love the Scottish accent. I worked alongside a Scottish lady for over 10 years and her accent was wonderful. So expressive.

Hope we get to see more of the family from Scotland.

To be fair, we haven't seen her in her role as vicar. I would suspend judgement.

Why are they never on at the same time?

If there's no room on the sofa kick off the annoying son.

I think the sound engineer's crew have requested it never happens.

She's on Youtube 'officiating' at a Wedding where some of the congregation get off the pews and do a dance routine.
The Vicar leads the dance.
My favourite bit is when two elderley ladies get up and leave.

She's fame hungry for sure.

I saw her on one of those irritating Sunday morning programmes where they tack on a bit about god purely as it's Sunday; as a talking head. Pious and worthy for sure but nothing out of the ordinary.

On Gogglebox she always seems really 'on' all the time and never misses a chance to cast herself as a champion of the people or whatever cause they're viewing via news bulletin. I feel for hubby and dog.

Sorry

You do seem to take comments about the goggleboxers to heart though even though the majority of them are relatively light hearted. Were you a headmistress in a previous life?

Maybe my sense of humour is more anarchic so mild humour can be overlooked/not registering with me.

Headmistress? Ha you are way off! I was a hippy in my teens and did stand up comedy (hence used to a more zany kind of humour rather than the tame, genteel stuff here). If you are referring to my vocabulary ....yes, I got educated somewhere along the line.

I would say most people here are not familiar with her in the role of vicar...pretty safe bet since it has only recently been shown.

That you tube vid is hardly a measure of how she is as a vicar either...just a few words. The song was not her idea anyway - I suspect that some vicars would not go along with that song request. Fair play to her for going with it!

Not all the time. The vicar IS outspoken but I recall her sticking up for the underdogs.
Everyone has some redeeming quality. The tendency to demonise her is cold. I don't exactly
like her, i.e. can see her flaws but some opinions here about her seem quite vitriolic/excessive!

Well now, you come across as the absolute antithesis of how you see yourself. Interesting isn't it, this communicating on the internet lark.

It's not how I see myself, i.e. I really WAS a hippy and I really DID do stand up comedy!

I am not defined by what I have described, so much as by my spirituality - maybe that helps more?

Interesting how assumptions are made on the internet lark, n'est pas?
