exactly. It's flogging a dead horse. Use the money to bring new jobs and skills to the area rather than help a rich bloke make even more money. It's tough and there are emotional view points on the side for keeping steel in the uk but times change.

I don't think you have grasped the strategic importance of a country like Britain, or any country for that matter having it's own steel production. It's absolutely vital for defence. No matter how much it's losing now it has to be saved and turned around.

BTW that's not simply me that's saying this it's senior defence chiefs and senior politicians from all sides of the political spectrum.

I think we should have an industry that recycles steel rather than buys it in from a broad just because it may be cheaper. We are also taking advantage of lack work laws and regulations by buying from countries that don't pay a decent wage or that have poor working conditions.

I like Viv and Ralf, she just needs to get down the gym and do a bit of toning up, I think she looks good thinner and fair play to her for losing a lot of weight.

I wonder where the government planned to get the steel from for HS2

Did you expect them to care about steel workers? Look at their lifestyle and what they say....they are what they are.

Just paused the programme to have a closer look and yes, it looks like a tattoo of the Zelda Wind Waker version of Link.

Wow. Thanks for that. Don't know why I needed to know that, but I just kind of did.

Pretty sure they said it would be better to spend the money the government were going to spend propping the business up retraining the steel workers.
What else did they say that indicated that they didn't care about the Steel Workers?
Not agreeing with the rescue plan is not the same thing as not caring about the workers.

So would you use four letter words in front of your parents, and if you are/were a parent would you allow your children to use foul language? Not only does it sound ugly, it shows a sad lack of vocabulary.

I don't think that's going to help. She's lost a huge amount of weight in a very short time. If that's not gastric surgery then I'm a Dutchman.
I don't mean that as a criticism of her by the way, my own wife has been through the process.

Other people don't behave as you would and don't see it as a problem, you must know this, so why you're carry on down this tangent, I don't know.

Can I be so rude and nosey as to enquire how your wife dealt with loss of skin tone?
I thought working out would solve it.

I think that it is a very sad state of affairs that you don't see it as a problem, and I can honestly say that I don't know any young people who swear in front of their parents, or vice versa.

It is clear you don't really understand the wider economics (let alone social cohesion) or Government procurement (which everyone miss quotes in this debate). That £1m per day is quickly mitigated. And bigger benefits are accrued. The bank bail out is not analogous as that had a direct effect wider than a specific industry and had to be done. What didn't was a hurried re-privatisation not holding the bank management further to account while in public ownership anfd the continued payment of bonuses to a failed upper management while penalising ordinary bank workers.

Can't see where I said that BIB in my post.
Let you carry on this daft game of faux shock at very run of the mill human behaviour.

I agree with you. I cannot believe the swearing in front of the parents from near all of the families.

The worse word I said in front of my parents was bloody. I had to much respect for them. Shows what little respect is given now.

I put from Viv's twitter post what diet she was on a week or so ago and it's not a gastric band.

Like you say she has lost a lot of weight really quickly but it has made her look ill. I did think she was ill that is why I looked at her tweets.

Good on her for losing weight. Wish I could be that strict but she looks so pale

I wish they would keep off politics. You get them all giving their, sometimes pig ignorant, views on things in the show and then everyone on this thread carries on giving theirs, who cares what peoples political views are? Let's keep it lighthearted, I like to have a laugh watching it, not get annoyed. If you want politics, stick to Question Time.
