I like the title sequence, I know it by heart and join in with Queenie's 'ya get me' in my head, every week.

More new families yet the furthest north they've been is Durham. The Scottish family from last series lived in England and were hard to understand.

Not keen on the posh family that live in the mansion.
Quote:
Not really. The dad is not posh but old and rich, which is why he has a young family, unfortunately.

I love the new old ladies. The way they were talking about Brad Pitt and the fit young topless men outside reminded me of the two old ladies played by Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke): "Ooh, young maaaaaan!"

Just watched the titles again.
Leon/June and Sandy/Sandra are still included. Steph/Dom have been removed Rev Kate/Graham aren't included but I don't think they ever were. Quote:
Oh I really think the title sequence needs updating! I know they've added to the initial one but it is so tired/old now. I particularly loathe 'ya get me' - like she is being clever...NOT!
One other thing I wanted to mention, when they were watching Jilly Cooper, one of the goggleboxers commented that they don't like villages 'because they're not multi cultural.' Why is that a problem? What is wrong with villages not being multi cultural?

I was surprised they included the bit about Channel 4 in at the end, for obvious reasons.
Re the new families - the two old ladies are a great addition, really funny. The three brothers were OK but groups of youngish guys don't seem to last on Gogglebox for some reason. The rich family seem to be intended to be a replacement for Steph and Dom, but I really struggle believe that neither of the girls (who must both go to private school) know what a magpie is! Oh and I wish they'd update the opening clips!

Decent episode I thought
Happy to see no Leon, Essex sisters are growing on me, the older ladies seemed a little boring so far |

I'm sure they know what a magpie is, but being so young they wouldn't know about the idea of magpies stealing bottletops and shiny things, thus would not understand it being used as a political insult to the PM.

Would it not be more a case of "multi-cultural" folk not wanting to live in villages?

the two old ladies are awful, i think they will be a couple of nasty characters - taking over from leon and june.
they didnt seem to actually talk about the shows, just themselves. The posh dorset family are just playing at it. The "dad" must be 75, very uncomfortable viewing. |

Is the Scriptwriter for this scripted reality show mentioned in the credits?

The posh family, i.e. the Delaney Ellwoods haven't said that much. I am surprised they can generate any kind of viewpoint so soon! So you dislike the elderly huh? Hmmm |

Some of them may play up to the camera a bit but none of its scripted. To say so is doing humanity a disservice. Some people are thoughtful, or funny, or sensitive. No reason at all to think any of it is scripted.

The way some of you completely misinterpret something simply because you dislike some of the Goggleboxers, still surprises me. Reminds me of that angry thread that someone posted about how Scarlett had, had surgery going by a picture on her Facebook, in fact she'd just been using one of these photo tweaking apps on her phone. |

I don't think It's scripted, but I think they play up to the cameras and are fed some of the one liners
