How come Scarlett was given special permission to go on an ITV show when the Gilbeys were given the boot because George went on C5 Celeb Big Brother? I know the Gilbeys are back now but still seems a bit odd.

The Michaels family also had to leave for a while when the dad stood as a UKIP (?) candidate.

Well Scarlett's family are not being shown for the time she is away. Also CBB is a much longer stint!

Political involvement is also understandable as a reason for the family to be temporarily suspended.

I'm a celeb is 22 and celeb big brother is 24 days do only two days longer.

Well anyway, in both cases both the families are suspended for that duration. Makes sense to me.

That's interesting, though not something I have heard about. Hope it is true. Not a lot I watch on Christmas Day, but I'd watch Gogglebox (not the kids version though)

The last couple of years they have shown a best bits from the year as the Christmas Day special, so I'd assume it will be the same again this year.
