I'm surprised that anyone watches this contrived "look at me" tripe anymore!! Like a lot of shows, it was a good idea initially but now that the so called "general members of the public" are so unnatural and just trying to make names for themselves, it is unwatchable.
Well, speaking for myself, I have grown to like quite a lot of the gogglebox team so I do still find it works on an entertainment level. Anyone else?

I'm in. Noticed the titles had changed and S&S removed so surprised that Queenie turned up with her daughter. Good to see them, thought it worked well but wonder where Sandi is.

Like Gogglesprogs too and that's on Xmas eve 😀

The end of last night's show was funny. Leon with his polar bear flashing lights jumper!

"How do you switch the bloody thing off?"

I don't know if that was a contrived scene or genuine but was amusing.

Yes. Loving it, of course I'm not keen on some of them but there are more than enough I look forward to seeing to keep me happy. I'm not sure what some people want out of shows anymore they find so much to moan about chuck the tv out I suggest

They have been doing it since they first came on on the show, not sure why people are only noticing now.
It was more Giles to Mary, now it's both of them and more often.
Like you, I'm not sure why people haven't noticed it before.
Mary talking about Slade's song is the most animated I think I've seen her.

Only seen bits of the last show and notice Queenie's back with her Daughter.

I agree - I tried watching it for about 10 minutes the other night and found it so fake. They're all over reacting to everything and trying to be characters. But people seem to like these fake reality shows at the moment.

I think you exaggerate what is taking place. Many of us here like the gogglebox team, as can be seen from the posts above.

Leon had been given a present to wrap. A box of Roses chocolates.
But, but, but - aren't they usually sealed with clear tape around the rim?
He just took the lid off and nicked one.

so that wasn't set up was it????

Mother and Amy Tapper, Mother Micheals must be under-acting, they're a lot quieter than they used to be.
It's a $hits n giggles show, I think those that like it, accept it as that.
Rather a shame it couldn't have been filmed with a permanent fixed camera rig, rather like The Family.

Personally, I don't particularly like or dislike any of them, they all seem pleasant 'enough' to pop into my life in 30 second snippets and I don't put too much weight on knee jerk, ill thought out opinions they come out with, because they're off the cuff.

Are you sure you got it right? He commented on them being lovely chocolates so it seemed that it was a present for him from June. We just see him opening the lid, i.e. not what transpired before it which may well have been removing the tape.
So...maybe not a set up!

Because i have never seen it
Nope not seen it and I usually like Christmas films and musicals. Just doesn't look like I would enjoy it so I've never seen it.

It was a total set-up. Contrived and not entertaining.

In the first series they were funny and genuine.

Are you really awake Amy?

The v/o said June has asked Leon to wrap a present. We've been bombarded by their contrived reationship and his inabiity.

As if.

Yeah, that was painful product placement.

There was another moment where somebody conspicuously mentioned a brand/product and I thought it sounded like a blatant plug.

Can't remember exactly what product it was though. Which I guess means it can't have been a very effective plug anyway.

OK...chill! So I got it wrong! Big deal....this is being blown up to be some kind of crime!

Breaking news....people knowing they are being filmed tend to not act normally! Get over it!

I'm chilled amy.

You don't know when to hush your mouth.

xx

And learn to keep it to yourself.

Yeh, remember... the voiceover said 'Leon has been given a present to wrap' - and there was a sheet of uncrumpled wrapping paper on the table under the tub of sweeties. I think he also moved the little roll of sellotape to the table behind him.

So, I still think it was set up.

Leon is very naughty. He also put the empty wrapper back in the tub.

Has the Vicar gone for good?
I do hope so.

I'm not keen on the Leeds girls much. It's their strong accent which I find a bit grating.
Jenny and Lee always amuse me.
The Siddiqui's are still very entertaining, I think. As are Giles & Mary and the Welsh couple.

I still like the show on the whole.

Well hush my mouth but ain't you the bolshy one! ?

You get the reply you deserve by being rude to me in the first place.

Oh and don't tell me what to do - you are not a mod here and have no authority over me. Got it?

What a fuss they were all making just because the leopard took a baby pig.
rolleyes

It's nature. And most of them eat meat, so it's not like they can say anything.

True - maybe it was because the pig was a baby. I wonder how many of us would be meat eaters if we had to kill the animal in order to eat meat. I wouldn't.

Perhaps we should have a meat licence so that you can only eat meat if you are prepared to kill an animal.

I liked that Furry purple jumper wots her name's daughter had on.

Wonder what purple animal that came from.

Sounds like you lapped it up, i bet it wasnt gory enough for ya, i bet you wanted to see it being ripped limb from limb with as much blood as possible.

Just because you love seeing it , doesn't mean others are the same, whether they are meat eaters or not.
