It may 'resonate' with some of the public. To many others the woman is vomit inducing.

That many? I remember some weird posh family, last year, who appeared once and we never heard from them again.

I remember the kids were a bit odd and the teeth featured heavily.

Really tedious this now, you know what they are going to say, maybe it's had it's run, the new girls are dreadful, can't make out what they are saying and far too much effing and jeffing for no reason, boring!!!

Hmmm.......leftie God botherer?”

So - the war in Syria started because there were demonstrations by the populace demanding democracy during the Arab spring and instead of increasing democracy Assad started to wage war on his own people. There is recent evidence that the Syrian army is using chlorine gas against civilians. This is a war crime.

The link below is to an article on CNN - so, I defy you to claim this article is all due to left wing bias. I also dare you to view the video clip and then come back on here and continue with your heartless and seemingly ignorant opinions that Syrians do not have genuine reasons to flee the country.

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/16/po...pons-chlorine/

On the other side, rebels started to fight against Assad and at some point some of these rebels morphed into IS who disposed of many of the less extreme rebels. As IS are funded by Saudi Arabia and control significant oil fields they are literally loaded in both the monetary and military sense of the word and have come to dominate opposition to Assad.

So, if you are just an ordinary Syrian person hoping for a quite life with your family you are caught between being trashed by your own government on one side or IS on the other. If it was your son, would you send them to act as cannon fodder for the government which has been brutally crushing all opposition for several years and is now using chemical weapons? Really?

At a Spanish villa probably.

No doubt they'll be back next week.

So pleased it's back. Funny as ever, especially the tiny moments with just a word or gesture between the goggleboxers, summing up their relationships perfectly.

Thrilled that Giles and Mary are back "It's caused a baking revolution, Mary... which is a good thing... it'll take their minds off sexting."

Can't be bothered reading upthread about this first episode as it's bound to be a compendium of moaning from the interminably unoriginal along the lines of
"OMG XYZ is soooo acting up to the camera"
"The show is too big now and they are all acting up to the camera"
"I'm muting XYZ. GET HER OFF "

Boring.

A good first episode although the two girls are rather pointless. They might be the next Da Silvas who only appeared for one episode.

I felt really sorry for the Rev's husband when she said that if she dies, she'll remarry and she knows exactly who she's going to marry. The poor guy looked crushed.

I can't imagine the other guy would be looking all that chuffed either!

I also cringed at the 'it's like something out of a book'
comment. Would that book, perchance, be 'Lady Chatterleys
Lover' by D.H.Lawrence?????
And the 'not knowing' about 'John Thomas' and 'Thomas
Crapper' respectively. Are these people actually real, or
selected for the ability to act that thick?

If they thought the dialogue was fruity, they should read the book 😉

Why is she waiting till they're on camera to drop these bombshells? She'd already told him that she'd signed up to have asylum seekers come and stay, without consulting him or the family. Maybe they both concocted it beforehand, to make them appear more interesting. Let's face it, there's only one interesting thing in their house. The dog's bollocks.

The two girls are already irritating me.

I don't believe anything the Rev says. She comes across incredible fake.

Really feel they should get the titles redone, they show clips during the titles, that have been there for ever.

And with the refugees, I found that part very one sided.

All of them seemed to agree that we should help them seriously.

But in my eyes they will just come here, and bag our benefits, our jobs, our NHS.
