Apologies if already discussed but why are the two black women described as unemployed when surely they're getting paid to be on this?

Redacted = "I don't like left wing politics."

Have some of them moved house? I thought the Tappers and Sandy and Sandra both looked like they were in different places. I missed about half the series though so don't know if it happened then but I'm sure Sandy and Sandra used to sit infront of a window...

I don't think Sandy and Sandra have changed; their house was featured on Friday's episode and it looked the same.

As for The Tappers, they've just bought new sofas!

Ever since Jade Goody in Big Brother, sadly we are suppose to think that.

They did used to but that was a while ago, as in about two series ago.

All through the last series they've been at the current location.

The Reverend Kate, telling her husband that she had already
'signed up' to house refugees in their home, without even
discussing it with him (He looked totally shocked); and then
way she announces that should he die,she would re-marry,
and already knows who it would be! The poor bloke looked
absolutely stunned at that one!
This foul woman sums up all that is wrong with religion as
an outdated and controlling force in the world. She is in
'communication' with her imaginary friend(s) 'above' so stuff
anyone actually alive and in need of solace, here in the real
world. Ugh. Her smug belief is a total display of misplaced
fanaticism, that in 'other' beliefs, are constantly reviled in the
media.

I'm on the verge of cancelling the series link for this show now. The only time it raised a smile was when Edward and Tubbs were on screen and Tubbs looked for all the world like one of the normal heads on small bodies thing like diddy Dick & Dom! The faux outrage is very dull and most of the shows are ones I don't watch.

It's a shame, it was really refreshing when it started.

It doesn't sound like you are enjoying it much, so I wouldn't put yourself through anymore unnecessary dullness. I still look forward to googlebox. i don't feel the quality has change at all over the years unlike many posters here. Like any program there are good episodes that stand out, others that have memorable bits and some that just drift by raising the odd smile or two. This is enough for me to carry on watching the show and i continue to look forward to it.

Reading some comments here I am surprised that many who are so wound up by some of the individuals/families continue to watch a program that is so disappointing/annoying to them that is makes them angry.

Oh for goodness sake. I'm not in the least religious but to read that much into it is ridiculous.
She's forthright and may come across as selfish but to pin that on her religion is very silly. If she is a practising priest then she has probably supported a good number of bereavements, grieving people, sick and dying people, and she may even have been in hospitals to baptize premature and dying babies.
So get educated about how the clergy deal with actual solace and supporting others before mouthing off.

I also noted that the two shots of Graham 'looking stunned' were cut close-ups and therefore not guaranteed to be a reaction to what she said.
The comment about remarrying seemed quite tongue-in-cheek, to me in any case.

I know. it's only on the internet though. Talk to normal people in real life and they mostly just get a small-range emotional reaction to programmes like Gogglebox.

Makes you wonder how some people deal with actual tricky and unpleasant situations when folks sitting on sofas on TV whirl them up into such hatred and outrage.

Or it could be the Internet is used to vent when real day to day life involves having to be lovely to people they would rather slap with a wet kipper

Well, pardon me for daring to have an OPINION and expressing it,based upon what I saw on the show. I will now go away and keep bees or something.Or maybe not!

Steph and Dom were in the clips at the start, so it was pretty obvious that they will feature going forward. Presumably they were on holiday - exactly the same thing happened this time last year IIRC.

Not sure what to make of the show these days, I loved the first few series but can't say I really enjoyed this one. I've probably said it before but I think it needs a total revamp. I'm bored with the families now, they need replacing regularly. I'd only have them on for two series maximum and keep recycling them. Too many reactions are predicable, in fact the only family that seems 'fresh' is Giles and Mary, who generally come out with unexpected things but that may be because they're still relatively new.

The show should definitely stay away from politics and it should also rest the X Factor, that's been done to death. Include some more quiz shows where the families can play along and if other channels will provide the footage, show some soaps like Corrie or Eastenders and other popular shows like Celebrity Big Brother, Hotel Inspector, Nightmare Neighbour Next Door or Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners.

The leftie vicar is so annoying.

So she didn't even discuss with her (passive, brow beaten) husband that she had signed up to take a refugee family - really? What kind of marriage is that.

True to form, C4 didn't allow comments on the migrant situation from the Michaels.

The reason Steph and Dom didn't feature last week is because Prince Andrew was staying at their place

If you can't suffer it when people disagree with you, then keep schtum.

What you wrote was a load of old tut and didn't seem to have anything to do with the woman we see onscreen, just you mouthing off about religion.

The Tappers have also whitewashed their sitting room so it looks as much like a set as possible. There are repeats on some night and they used to have flowery curtains and stuff behind them. Now they have stark white......nothingness. Its horrible!

I actually think their lounge looks nicer now- it seems more modern than it used to be.
