Leon's fake outrage at Cameron's gaffe - bore off.

Vicar's husband loves his wife - she told him so this morning.

I couldn't agree less! Vicky McClure is brilliant in it, her BAFTA was well deserved. The clip they showed wasn't the best though, it's usually a higher quality when it gets darker towards the end of a series.

I think Scarlet comes out with some of the best lines and usually very quickly, this week:-
"If it's love then just get on the f***ing Mega Bus".
Just a simple sentiment but put in her own blunt fashion.

(Worked for me back in the 70's, but had to use National Express, some very long tiring journeys from London to Mersyside, but it was worth it)

I suppose with evaporated milk the heat treatment prior to canning breaks down the lactose and makes it naturally sweeter than fresh milk.”

My mother in law used to make custard with evaporated milk. The best custard ever! But did take hours to clean the saucepan tho.

I agree, she's very quick witted.

Why was he acting like he'd never heard of it before? Not like he just got off a Lufthansa plane last month.

Why did they have to put welsh people on this show ? I guess they had to eventually .

Also I'm fed up of the politics now far too much

Why wouldn't they put Welsh people on the show?
And why do you feel they 'had to eventually'?

How was he acting like he'd never heard it before?
Is that different to someone who doesn't like classical music, but has to sit there listening to it while his family sing along.

Scarlett has been good value since day one IMO.
It's taken a while, but FM's eventually stopped attacking her because she wears fake tan.

Doesn't time fly Josh is 18 now, still very close to his Dad on that sofa.
Probably explains why Amy isn't as shouty as she used to be, she's growing up.
I got used to their shoutyness (sp), I don't have to live with it, only a minute or 2 a week, kinda miss it now.

Have the Goggleboxers ever been as gripped and emotionally invested in a drama as they were this week with Dr Foster?
All those involved in that production, can't have wished for a better 'review' than that.
Downloaded it, on the strength of their reaction, I'm behind with all my series, so don't know when I'll watch it though.

I used to think that Gogglebox was one of the Best programmes on TV but I don't think it's as funny as it used to be....with the exception of Scarlett ....who is Brill.....Something's lacking.....The Welsh couple, the two young girls and the posh couple in the cottage add nothing to the programme IMO....

I'm reserving judgement on Dave and Shirley from Caerphilly. They've only been on one episode so far.

As for Giles and Mary I think they are top of the new additions to the programme.
Giles' wry humour and cynicism make me laugh.

Don't care what anyone says I like Gogglebox as much as I did in series 1.
Their reactions to Dr Foster this week were as entertaining and compelling as anything we've had on the show in the past.

I was a bit confused by the Dr Foster bit since I haven't watched it. Am I right in thinking that it isn't known whether the guy is actually having an affair? I was surprised that all the Goggleboxers (bar Dom!) were so convinced that he was and none of them said 'oh there's going to be some twist isn't there?', like I did just from the clip they showed. Be a bit of a boring series if it was just about a woman suspecting her hubby was having an affair and then he just turned round and said 'oh yeah, I am having an affair, sorry!', wouldn't it? Or am I just missing something as I haven't seen it?

The goggleboxers made that programme sound so much better than it is. I wish I had seen it through their rose coloured glasses.

She thinks he is having an affair and surprise surprise he is Now is the aftermath to her discovery

Oh right, thank you doesn't sound like I've missed much by not watching it then!

I really like Giles & Mary as well.

I like the way Giles always tags Mary's name onto the end of every question - even though she's the only one in the room and he's looking directly at her.

May have been from the previous series, but they are funny.

'Don't you think so Mary?'
(Mary doesn't answer immediately)
'Don't you think so Mary?'
'Mary? .. Mary?'

They're the best family on the show, the dad comes out with some funny stuff too.

Becoming a bit tired of some of the other lot though, just the same stuff over and over with them. Leon telling June to shush when she isn't saying anything, Sandy and Sandra (mostly Sandra) being ignorant to seemingly everything, Steph and Dom being drunk.

and the couple in the caravan being sneery and the right-on leftie vicar being sanctimonious.....

I couldn't take to Scarlett originally but she is quick-witted and like the Siddiquis, she tends to use humour to comment on things rather than just be blunt and dismissive like Leon, June and the vicar.

Agree that Giles is the current star, though.
