Can't remember where I saw the actor playing Carl before. I am sure he was in a Scandinavian series with the actor playing the old fisherman tonight. He played a ruthless business man.
The series was Follow The Money

Nikolaj Lie Kaas

Claes Ljungmark

A second season of that show started in Denmark 4 weeks and the actress who played the kidnap victim in this film is in it

I totally agree. It had a start, a middle and a finish. Was easy to follow without having to remember who was who. The two main characters had a relationship that could develop well, albeit along cliched lines, and I think Assad was the standout personality.
Was this a pilot for a series?

Its the first in series of 3 films (so far) based on a series of 7 books (so far) by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen

Well I'm 2 episodes into Angelby and it's ok, similar to (but not as good as) Jordskott which is why I assume itv encore picked it up.
Both made by ITV Studios.

The second season of 30 Degrees in February has just started on Sky Arts.

The first season is available on demand, too. Excellent stuff.

Thanks for that. I like the actors and hope to see more of this type of drama.

Thanks for the info on Sky Arts' foreign output - I wasn't aware so will give them a watch on demand.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but Series 2 of 'The Code' (Australian political conspiracy drama) returns to BBC4 on this coming Saturday, with a double episode. There are six episodes for Series 2.

Any word on The Lava Field?

Season 1 ended on two cliffhangers.

It would be nice if Netflix also ran Trapped. From the reviews, it is superior to The Lava Field.

I've missed The Code so far but was thinking of watching on iPlayer. Do you think I'd need to see Series 1 first?

That sounds like something I would enjoy more the The Code. I just can't get into series 2 of The Code even though I quite enjoyed series 1.

Personally speaking, I don't really think it's that necessary to watch S1 as S2 can be watched as a standalone series. But I would recommend reading a programme synopsis for S1 just to give you some background info on the characters and plotlines.

Many thanks. I was thinking of getting Series 1 on DVD but maybe won't bother and just read up, as you suggest. I should catch up on all the other series and DVDs on my watch list first anyway! There are some new ones coming up on All4 / Walter Presents too.

The programme I'm waiting for is Series 4 of Braquo. I was trying to read the programme page on CanalPlus, but my French is still a bit basic. Not too sure when the series will be out on Disc or streaming. I think it has already been aired in France or is currently being aired.

It looks like it went to air in September so, depending on how many episodes, it could well have finished in France. I don't have Sky so no access to Fox UK but apparently it starts here on Tues 8th Nov at 10pm.

Caroline Proust from Spin and Bruno Wolkowitch from Spin are in this film on TV5 Monde (Sky 796) at 2:10AM

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2401084/?ref_=nm_knf_t1

The channel's website says it will have English subtitles but that's not always the case

Thanks for the info. I no longer have Sky (due to the rising costs!), so I'll have to see if it comes to Amazon (streaming or Disc rental).

Looks interesting.

I was just wondering whether we'll see Series 2 and 3 of Dicte on More 4, and whether or not BBC4 will show the second series of Hostages (Israeli drama).

People may know her better from Spiral (Engrenages).

I was just thinking the same thing and speaking of Israeli dramas it's a shame that there wasn't a 3rd season of Hatufim (Prisoners of War)
