Thanks for the info re 30 Degrees second season - have not seen it advertised anywhere.
Still - big thanks to Sky for showing them. They have been 2 of my favourite foreign dramas. |

I've just seen a trailer on BBC4 for a new Swedish thriller called Modus. It didn't say when it's starting, but I presume it's after Deep Water has finished. It looks really good and I spotted Krister Henriksson, I thought for a minute it was Wallander

![]() Modus stars Melinda Kinnaman as an ex-FBI agent who comes out of retirement when her autistic daughter witnesses one of a spate of serial killings, but crucially can’t articulate the identity of the culprit. Sounds very intriguing! |

Yes it came up on my facebook feed that it was starting soon.

![]() According to this article, it's an 8-part drama. http://www.fremantlemedia.com/bbc-fo...isition-modus/ You're probably right about the schedule. Deep Water on 12th & 19th Nov 2016, followed by four Saturdays (double-headers) of Modus, taking us upto 17 Dec 2016. According to IMDb, there is a Series 2 for 2017. Be careful when you check IMDb, because they give an episode-by-episode synopsis for S1, which probably contains some spoilers. |

There's a deep mine of European detective stories which have been filmed for tv over the years. I would love to see the French Det. Laviolette series from the books by Pierre
Magnan. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3996758/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_1 |

Modus is very good a very typical Scandi thriller develops slowly and methodically. Not a major role for Krister but he's as good as ever.
Fans of Dicte which I believe is returning to the UK in the new year will be pleased to know that she is still headstrong, quirky and full of head on strife in her personal life. Fans of Lars Brygmann (detective) may be shocked at how much different he looks and plays the character in one of my favourite quirky Danish comedy dramas Rita which I think is still available on Netflix. Whilst on the subject of Netflix, they are now working closely with native European production companies and producing more European content that hopefully will be screened across all regions including the UK. |

I'd like to see that too! Also Norwegian series Varg Veum, and the Danish series Unit One, The Protectors and The Eagle.

where can I see Deep Water please? I don't have netflix but think I might subscribe and cancel Sky movies instead.
Anyone see/like The Outlaws (Belgian)? I did like it after a slow start. I'm also finally watching Braquo on sky box sets. V good but they don't half smoke and wear leather pants to an ATM robbery

Perhaps we should have a separate thread for English language foreign drama (or maybe even one for Deep Water on its own). |

It's on iPlayer, as you might expect.

Liked Deep Water so far, especially as it's based on true events. Interesting to see how homophobia played out in Bondi in 80/90s with fear of AIDS . I'm taking it the link with the female detectives brothers death years back is artistic licence? And I too was a big fan of The Outlaws. |
