There's Blue Eyes starting on Friday 25th March on More 4.
Maybe he means that. I didn't know what was coming after Spin.

Sky Arts are finally showing Matrioshki II, taking over Wednesday nights from Okkupert (Occupied) which concludes next week.
It has been a very long wait. Although they showed the first series last autumn, it originally aired in 2005 on FX. It is probably the first programme in the current trend of showing subtitled dramas as it was almost a year before BBC Four showed the first series of Engrenages (Spiral). The series will begin on Wednesday, March 23rd at 10pm. |

I have four episodes of Trapped and two of The men in the Shadows (hate the way it has been translated as 'Spin') to catch up on.
Trapped is wonderful so far the sheer atmosphere and excellent acting make it a real Icelandic treat (Jar City was superb as well) - also watching the machiavellian world of French politics is very addictive. It's great telly.

I'm finding Spin distinctly missable and it's nothing to do with the translation of the name. I did see last night's episode - which I guess you have not so I won't be too specific (no spoilers) but...
...I'm increasingly irritated by the portrayal of women in Spin. They are troubled, spiteful, rash and undisciplined, unable to resist 'toxic' boyfriends... generally their power comes from their men and even when a genuinely powerful, competent woman hits a problem, The Power Of A Man is needed to help them resolve it and puts a spring back in their step. Meh. Borgen it is not. Never in its wildest dreams is Spin the quality of any series of Borgen. |

Meh.
I've given up on it - More out of frustration with My4's abysmal catch-up service than dissatisfaction with the show although it's not something I've found myself missing since I stopped. |

Another good one - Follow the Money. Despite the competition the Beeb still managing to snag some quality.

I'm still following and enjoying Thicker Than Water on Thursdays. Blue Eyes starts tonight replacing 'Spin' at 9pm on More 4. "... taut contemporary thriller from Sweden, a ten-part tale of murder and corruption in high places, is set during the run-up to a general election. .. the chief of staff at the Justice Department, vanishes without a trace." |

Blue Eyes was worth watching.
Thicker Than Water (3 siblings forced to work together to inherit hotel) continues tonight on More4 and I'm staying with it. Thread here http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2142675 |

I've lost track of BBC4's Saturday night drama Follow the Money but I see it finishes tonight.
I wondered what replaces it and I've just proven my suspicions correct: Hinterland the moody detective drama set in Wales. I enjoyed that and look forward to it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0791w11 |

Thicker than Water finished well on Thursday.
What's next in the same slot on More4? Nothing, it seems. ![]() Blue Eyes (politics, immigration and violent racism in Sweden) continues strongly on Fridays. I lost track of Follow the Money on BBC4 and haven't caught up with its follow-on, Hinterland (Welsh crime drama). Any other news? |

Vis A Vis starts next Tuesday at 10pm on Channel 4 under the English title Locked Up.
It is an 11-part Spanish thriller about a woman who is imprisoned after being framed for fraud. It had big ratings in Spain and is apparently very different to Orange Is The New Black despite some similarities in the premise. Curiously it is being sold (to buyers) as having 70 minute episodes, but the slot on Channel 4 next week is only for an hour. |

I've often thought we need a meeting point for fans of these dramas, not to discuss any one in particular but to announce and talk about what's coming up, which ones you enjoyed or would like to see and comparing different series.
In the past there have been series other than those on BBC4 and I missed the start because I didn't know they were onand didn't see the appropriate channel listings. You can't search for a thread igfyou don't know the title! Please announce series here on this thread but for discussion of the 'current' ones in detail please start a thread and put a link in this thread. Coming up tonight Montalbano 9pm BBC4. Not sure but probably a repeat. Unmissable . The first series is still OnDemandwith Sky . |

I am a bit confused about Channel 4's plans are for Locked Up, as well as the shorter time slot it does not appear to be in the schedule for the week after next. Instead they have Britain's Wierdist Council Houses listed in the same slot. But they advertised the premiere during Blå Ögon on Friday as a new series, so hopefully it will be made clearer then.
They also advertised Dicte as coming soon to More4, so presumably that is what will take over the Friday slot in two week. Based on a series of novels it is a Danish crime drama about a newspaper crime reporter who moves back to her hometown. There have been two series, both of five two-part stories, whilst a third will air in Denmark later this year. Incidentally, I cannot see anything schedule on Sky Arts though now that Matrioshki has ended. They seem to have a series of ballet performances on Wednesday nights the next few weeks. |

Dicte looks good - it has Laura, the girlfriend from High Fidelity (John Cusack) in it and the Danish author's books are good, I've read her 2 latest translated ones (nothing to do with the series) |

Apparently the 1st one is on Ch4 then the rest on all4....?
Anyway, the next series after Hinterland will be Disparue (The Disappearance). It is an eight-part series (so shown over four weeks) about the police investigation, and effect on the family, when a teenage daughter fails to return home. The Disappearance starts on Saturday, May 28th, at 9pm on BBC Four. |

Urgh! They should have put that in their trailer and on the web page then, as it just says it is "coming to Channel 4" with no suggestion that is just a preview. Because of the inconvenience, to me, of watching the online programmes I guess I will not bother with it then.

Yes, there are a few threads about Locked Up and they all mention this. In my opinion, all this Walter Presents stuff should be on More4 instead of the constant switching between 4/more4/online.
Given how well subtitled programmes have rated on Channel 4 especially it seems very odd to bury such an acclaimed one online. Even if they want to premiere shows online, they could at least have a late night broadcast slot. I do not mind them switching about the schedule, although having high profile ones in the C4 Sunday 9pm slot then others on Thursday or Friday evenings on More 4 is very helpful, so long as they are made easily accessible. |
