Plot-wise that reminds me of the first series of The Killing

Aye. I never pay too much attention to the lazy "other country's version of…" descriptions, but it has been called a bit of a cross between that and Broadchurch.

After Blue Eyes finishes More4 will be showing Danish crime thriller Dicte, starting 3rd June.

Urgh! They should have put that in their trailer and on the web page then, as it just says it is "coming to Channel 4" with no suggestion that is just a preview. Because of the inconvenience, to me, of watching the online programmes I guess I will not bother with it then.
Anyway, the next series after Hinterland will be Disparue (The Disappearance). It is an eight-part series (so shown over four weeks) about the police investigation, and effect on the family, when a teenage daughter fails to return home. The Disappearance starts on Saturday, May 28th, at 9pm on BBC Four. Quote:

Was just thinking the same
![]() http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2150500 Believe it or not, I'm only just catching up with the first series on Amazon Video. I must have been living under a rock , because I only heard about the TV series, when others on here mentioned it. I watched the film a few years ago:- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0929425/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 |

As renard gris linked, there is already a discussion thread for Gomorrah. Obviously most of the interest is with new programmes as people do not know what to expect, rather than returning ones where they already know whether or not they are interested so just want to discuss it in the programmes' own threads. Although it also feels like most people here just have Freeview or Freesat so there is less attention to the shows on Sky. A shame really as the diversity of things on Sky Arts over the past few years has been far greater than BBC Four. I like to joke that BBC Four is the ITV of foreign drama as it is nearly all crime shows. At least More4 have also been broader with programmes like Tjockare Än Vatten (Thicker Than Water), which tonely reminded me of 30° I Februari (30 Degrees In February) on Sky Arts. Really hope they show the second series of that, which aired earlier this year in Sweden. I really loved the first, but then I also like Isabel but have given up on hoping for Sky showing the rest of that. But I definitely recommend it to anyone who has not seen it. And it features Kjell Wilhelmsen from Blĺ Ögon (Olle, the spokesman for the Security Party) playing a very different character. Quoting that opening post reminds me, I recently watched Äkta Människor, the original Swedish series on which Humans was based. It got a bit strange but was far more interesting than the British remake. It reminded me a bit of Utopia, and sadly was similarly also dropped after two series. ITV showed the American Broadchurch remake on one of their lesser channels so no reason Channel 4 cannot do likewise, even if just on All4. It is different and I think people would like it. |

This is not a discussion thread, but as the opening post says, "a meeting point for fans of these dramas, not to discuss any one in particular but to announce and talk about what's coming up, which ones you enjoyed or would like to see and comparing different series."

They seem to be breaking with tradition. The Radio Times has a programme about Egypt's Lost Cities with Dallas Campbell for an hour and half slotted into wall-to-wall Glastonbury. Maybe in a couple of weeks we'll be back to foreign drama.

BBC Four is an Olympic channel through August so I'd not be surprised if we don;t see anything new until September.

Yep. That sounds like me. Except I'm a mammal.

A rerun of the final series of Krister Henriksson's Wallander would be good – I believe that has only been shown once. I'm not holding my breath though, especially as we can no longer lobby for it on the BBC messageboard which is closing today.

I notice C4 are at it again next week. On Tuesday they are showing ep1 of The Border, a Polish thriller. The remaining episodes will be online only. Have C4 explained why they are doing this? They don't seem overloaded with drama on any of their channels so it doesn't make sense to me.

Noticed a coming soon trailer on More4 for a Belgian show, The Outlaws, looks interesting. Possibl y will take over from Dicte when it ends on 1 July

I found The Border quite hard to follow. Anyone on here watch it? |

ITV have so much good stuff on their free-to-air channels they're hiding this on a pay one. At the same time on the main channel is a re-run of the Ellie Simmonds thing that rated disastrously for them first time round so Well Done ITV!
