The post office, what an awful company.

When you think about it, you the customer have to pay extra as "insurance" just in case the thieves that they employ steal your property.

its utter madness.

I know that I shouldn't laugh, this is no doubt serious to the OP, but a fairy new phone?
Perhaps Tinkerbell has it.
The shifty looking Asian man looked at with eye contact, should he have looked with ear contact?
What made him shifty, was he wearing a mask, a striped jumper, and carrying a bag with SWAG written on it?

Try shipping the same parcel with TNT or DHL, they would all only cover the cost with insurance.
Of course all of the customers are honest upright citizens and all the parcels have what they say in them?
Royal Mail will pay up to £50 if it's not insured and of course, only an idiot would send any parcel worth over £50 without insurance...
Unfortunately there are a lot of both types out there, dishonest and stupid. Sometimes they are a combination of both. I doubt any company would cover the losses both types incur...

The Post Office doesn't decide it's prices, the Royal Mail does.

So has this parcel being delivered or just not updated?
I believe it was delivered the next day 17th October, but the recipient, Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Dunfermline, lost it for about 9 days. Long story but I won't bore you with it.

Do you have the Phone IMEI number?

If yes, you can probably locate it

If not, it will be on the box of your phone, your network who you used the iphone with may also have a note of it.
