Any advice on RELIABLE companies to buy reasonably priced prom dresses from? In dispute with Chinese company through AliExpress about my daughter's prom dress and am now very concerned it won't arrive at all (ordered start of Feb paid by visa 7/2/15). Can't afford ridicilous prices in UK shops.... (unless someone has some advice on full lenght evening dresses for 16/17 yr olds?). Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with AliExpress or the Chinese dress company "Suzhou Yi Jiao Sha Bai Wedding Dress Co., Ltd."? The dress was £84.22 - too good to be true??
ALiExpress appears to have ended my purchase protection because the dress company 'says' it has dispatched the dress through DHL four days ago however today DHL on the phone say they know nothing about it.
This is the first time I have ever ordered from a foreign company. Any advice gratefully received...

If I was buying a dress from China I'm not sure I would be spending nearly £90 on the dress when you could get a decent one from here for that. My prom was 8 years ago so I'm sure prices have gone up but when my friend got hers off one of those Chinese eBay shops she paid £40.

That said I got mine from Warehouse for £75. So I'd have a look around here first.

I would look on ebay. There are loads of prom dresses / bridesmaids dresses for sale - really gorgeous ones for half of what you'd pay from a shop. Unless you go for an understated look, most of them are the sort of dress that can only really be worn the one time, so lots of people sell them on.
