It's sad, but I always thought she'd been born in the wrong era, i.e. too late for her style of singing. Though I did like the song that was her big hit.
'Where Are You Now' is one fantastic ballad. A great example of a beautifully crafted pop song of which there were plenty in the '60s.
Very sad news about Jackie. She and her ex, Tony Hatch were a such a talented songwriting team. Knew about all the Pet Clark hits of the 60s, but never knew until today that they also wrote Scott Walker's big hit ballad, Joanna.

RIP Jackie Trent.”
It is indeed very well-written, melodic, poignant and a powerful ballad. I might just have divulged this before, and I may do again, but it is delicate though.
Spoiler
Ok I will divulge this. When I heard it less than 24 hours after some devastating personal news in 2002 it caused me to burst into tears
