I'd like to see Jimmy Carr host the Golden Globes.
It’s not going to happen though, 99.99% of Americans don’t know who Jimmy Carr is. |

New interview in which Corden bizarrely claims there were only 10 weeks between him committing to the job and hosting his first show where-as a quick trip to his Wikipedia page has him being officially announced as the new LLS host in October 2014.

![]() I just checked our very own thread on the subject – it was rumoured from early August 2014 (8 months before his debut) and was confirmed in late October 2014 (5 months before his debut). I’m not sure where his 10 weeks comment has come from?! http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1994416 Thanks for the link to the interview by the way.

Chelsea Handler seems an awkward guest. She's been on twice so seeming willing to appear but does make snide remarks and sometimes looks like she doesn't want to be there.
Is that just her thing or a side effect from her 'lifestyle'? btw, his audience wrangler who he setup the dates for was absolutely gorgeous. Rememded me slightly of Chloe Bennet. |

For me she sometimes comes across as mean spirited and spiteful, I know all the late night hosts mock people (it’s part of the job), but when she does it comes across as more venomous. Maybe it’s just me... She works better with some interviewers than others too, her interviews with Howard Stern and Conan O’Brien are usually entertaining, maybe they just know how to handle her better than James Corden does. |

https://youtu.be/_MR2-vBYRjM When she's been on Norton she'd been quite a poor guest. I think Norton has got lazy and just expects guests to make the show happen. With Corden being relatively new he's working hard to make the show entertaining, fun and popular and he's doing a good job. Obviously every show can't be great and I think there still are several segments that could be ditched or rethought but overall it's a very decent show. |

Rumours circulating that James Corden will quit the show and return to the UK once his current contract expires. Personally I doubt there's much truth to it.
And he's in a contract with CBS until 2020, so the article seems a little premature. Even he won't know how he feels in 4 years time. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...t-expires.html But he is returning to the UK for 3 weeks at the end of this month to record a new series of 'A League of Their Own' (which will air on Sky in 2017). The Late late Show will take a 3 week hiatus during this time. |

Just caught a bit of an interview with Anthony Kiedis on Radio X and he said that they actually had a dance-off in their carpool karaoke segment with Corden but it wasn't used.
Also, he said that when they pulled the car over to have the dance off, they saw a woman run out of her house with a baby screaming that he wasn't breathing. Kiedis apparently took the child and started to do CPR, but that didn't work. He said he started rubbing the child's chest as the ambulance arrived and he started breathing. He handed him over to the paramedics and they carried on to complete the segment. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned. |

"When Moonves joined him on stage, the CBS chairman showered his "late night and internet sensation" with praise, noting: "We love that guy." Who he didn't praise, or so much as mention: Colbert." link Also interesting that in recent weeks Corden had to deny being interested in being on CBS earlier in the evening. link |

More mind boggling censoring this week.
When saying ********, dick was allowed but head was censored. then when saying cock that was censored. Edit: haha, didn't realise that would be one of DS censored words

I actually do believe that once his current contract expires he will return back to the UK. In fact, if his contract hadn't been extended by CBS to 2020, i think he'd have returned back to the UK once the original contract had ended.
I've heard him say in numerous interviews he misses the UK, he dislikes his children speaking with an American accent and all his friends and family are back home. Plus he wants to do more writing and acting and he can't do much tv/film acting if he has to film a chat show every night. Yes, he's being paid a fortune but i don't think money matters much to him. It's crazy he's coming back to the UK end of June 2016 to record a new series of ALOTO for 2017!!! That's crazy. 3 weeks is nothing. |

Looks like there's going to be a lot more Carpool Karaoke this summer with Coca Cola and Mcdonalds announced as brand partners link
How much product placement is there in late night? Guillermo on Kimmel does ads and Fallon has the Mac on his desk but is this the first time a bit has been associated with corporate brands? |

The Late Show has several partners that have a logo and voiceover as they go into breaks.
The Late Late Show is sponsored by Bud Light. |

This is just huge for Corden. Absolutely huge. Quote:
The First Lady is taking her turn in the car with “Carpool Karaoke.” http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/mich...en-1201800676/
Following in the footsteps of Adele, Justin Bieber and most recently Selena Gomez, Michelle Obama has taped a segment of the wildly popular “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden. |

It’s all rumours and speculation of course, but I bet the executives at CBS have at least discussed the possibility of this happening. But would CBS really put James Corden up against Jimmy Fallon? Quote:

He'd probably be up for it but I imagine his advisors will "gently" advise against it. I'd say there's more chance of one, or both, of his kids though.

I suppose it's more likely for them to appear on Kimmel, Fallon and Colbert but Corden/Carpool does seem popular. I've noticed they're now shaking it up more. I know he's got out of the car before, I think it was to go shopping, but lately they've done dance offs, wrestling, drive thru, rollercoaster etc. |

I’m guessing you’re being sarcastic, but James Corden would obviously be given The Late Show in this scenario, and I suspect Stephen Colbert would be dropped altogether with a new host taking over The Late Late Show.
It’s all rumours and speculation of course, but I bet the executives at CBS have at least discussed the possibility of this happening. But would CBS really put James Corden up against Jimmy Fallon? CBS isn't throwing the towel just yet and they'll likely be retooling aspects of The Late Show but I think he's a very good alternative to the Jimmys and it would be a shame if he stood down too soon |

I doubt they'll drop Colbert so soon, I think maybe at end of the five year contract they will reconsider but it would be suicide for CBS to put Corden against Fallon and Kimmel.

And Stephen Colbert fulfils that role perfectly. Unfortunately for them, I don’t think there’s as much demand for an alternative to Jimmy Fallon as they were hoping for. |

I completely agree, I don’t think CBS will drop Colbert any time soon, but I do believe that they must be at least a little disappointed with his performance, and will have at least had the briefest of thoughts about James Corden replacing him, if not soon but in the future. Not that they’d say any of this publically.
