If MS had introduced W8+Bing free 2 or three years ago, I think they would have really set the tablet market alight.
This new breed of tablets has one major plus over apple/android tablets in that the user base of software is massive. As it is Windows, you can have several apps open at same time, and multi-task. Android have a limited amount of multi-tasking, but nothing like that with Windows.
To me, the greatest feature is that I can connect to it remotely over internet using Teamviewer or similar, and take full remote control. You can only do this with a few high end android tablets (don't know about apple).
My wife likes to use tablet to watch tv programmes etc, and due to limited mobility (plus being a technophobe) finds tablets hard to operate. I just simply connect remotely when I am away (and even at home), and set things up, and off she goes.
Before W8+Bing Tablest came along, she always had to use a laptop which was a bit heavy/cumbersome for her. She loves the tablet.
Frankly, I doubt I will ever buy an android tablet again (never buy apple on principle).
As I said in an earlier post, at £50, this has to be cheapest windows based PC in the world. Of course, you cannot expect to play high end games, etc, but it is fine as a media type of tool.
