Exactly, and with the schedule, feeds will be down a lot of the time throughout every weekend due to the comps, so I'm not sure many people will be clocking up a lot of hours glued to the live feed this year.

Just as folks were getting into it, and just as the feed started to be more regular and wasn't going down every couple of seconds ... they turn it off for Easter weekend. It does seem to be a bit stupid.

Its all about keeping the houseguests on their toes, throw the unexpected at them, I am sure they thought this was coming later but no the producers throw a twist in and do it in week 2.
I kinda agree it is annoying because the feeds were getting interesting. But they probably just want to speed up this return pre jury person because the 5th houseguest will be evicted next wednesday now so they will probably scheduled the comp return then.

Or because they're not dedicated and can't be arsed staying over the weekend. Clearly the staff go home for Easter weekend since it's the third consecutive year of doing the instant eviction on Easter weekend; which, by the way, if they do it again next year will NOT be "keeping them on their toes" because everyone has clocked the pattern now - so they may have to pay their staff to stay at work next year with a bit of luck, instead of cutting feeds.

The CA production is pretty cheap, to be honest. They send them home at night, too, and just shut the audio off.
How expensive can it be to get a couple of people in to monitor the night feed?

BBCA are more like UK when it comes to feeds, which is a shame because I thought they'd know how important feeds are since they'll know the US version best, especially since the show is in the format of the US, too.

Big Brother Canada is a fairly new show so the new Canadian viewers are used to seeing the other side of the house they want win. Unlike on BB USA where it is pretty much a given that there is a chance your faves could all go at once.

Hence, I am fully sure we will get some BS Canada HoH twist / Veto twist as a way for Producers to calm the fans hate for the season so far.

Plus, if you think Christine getting booed was bad wait till Graig / Godfrey leave the house.....

Jeez Louise... people complain about the UK and now complain when the live feed isn't exactly how they want it. Appreciate the fact it's a free live feed and be content with what they offer. If not, you know where to close the window

I'm sure there's plenty of people who are willing to work? It's suppose to be a big TV show (I read it's the second most watch reality show after Survivor) and they're too cheap to pay people to watch over the feeds for a weekend?
It's more the fact they don't wanna pay the staff rather than them all wanting to spend it with family - just like at night, they send everyone home and mute the feed instead of paying people to do the night shift.

As for the UK comparison - it's completely irrelevant. If you can use one extreme, then why's there a problem with me asking for them to be more like the US when it comes to feeds?

When the feeds are down for 70% of the time in a 24 hour period (on a 'normal' day in the house), then it may as well be like the UK feeds. People sit down to watch the feeds, only to be met with 'BRB' messages with no explanation of how long it's going to be off for - leaving us with a dilemma, do we risk waiting around or don't we? It's an awful way to treat the fans - I'd rather pay for the feeds. At least with the US feeds, when they go down, you know there's a competition running and it'll be a good couple of hours before they return - you also have flashback so don't have to worry about missing any good game talks. With CA they just cut feeds for no reason and leave them down for hours at a time.

Any feed is good feed, but it doesn't mean I can't complain about how inept the CA producers seem to be. It's all half-arsed, at least the UK hold their hands up and admit they can't be arsed with it; it's a nuisance to them. It feels like CA really doesn't wanna give it to us, but feel forced because they know it will break the show, so give us little bits and pieces begrudgingly. It was no where near this bad last year. Feeds were on nearly as much as the US feeds, but this year it's gone back to being like series one.

Yup that's about right! Your sense of entitlement to your perfect version of live feeds is sickening. It'd be a much better place if you just press the [X] button if you aren't happy with them and continue to complain until some version of BB produces some feeds that make you happy.

In no version of BB around the world have we ever had a live feed which tells you how long they will be off for. So why would it change now?

And why can't I make the UK comparison? It's the same show, 1 has no live feed which people complain about, then you have another one in a different country which has a free live feed ONLINE and still people complain. There's nothing they can do to win it seems like.

I think it's in 40min, most of the tweets i've read point to that... but i do see a few saying it's delayed because of golf. which would be weird because they've been promoting 7pm all day and it's a huge episode.

I've just given you OPTIONS of what they can do.

- Keep feeds running unless/until competition time. That way people know "oh, the feeds are down, it must be a competition. I'll check back in two/three hours time" - that's the logic with the US feeds. With CA feeds, because they're down so often, people sit around thinking "well, they could be back within 60 seconds, 60 minutes or 60 bloody hours" so we have no idea what to do. Do we wait or not? We don't have that problem with US feeds.
- Put a pop up message on, at least explaining why they're down even if no time frame is given. This way, people can estimate it for themselves, or if they're brave, they could give an estimate "come back at 9pm, feeds should be back by then".
- Have a flashback option so if people decide not to stick around staring at some stupid message for hours on end, we can at least flick through the live feed to see if we missed anything good when we return to it.
