S5 Black screen?

My S5 has developed a fault where you go to wake the phone and the screen won't turn on but the buttons and notification light turns on. You can call the phone and it will ring the screen just remains black.

The only option to get it on again is to remove the battery and even doing this won't get it to go first time, you will have to do it several times.

Has anyone on here had this issue? I see reports on the likes of youtube etc but no fix.

I would try a factory reset by holding down the buttons on power up (videos are on YouTube of how to do this).

YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR DATA ON THE PHONE BY DOING THIS THOUGH so might be worth plugging the phone into a computer first to see if you can do any kind of backup first.

If the reset does not work take it into one of the Samsung shops (if you have one near you) as they give 2 years warranty with the phone.
