Justin Beiber, has his chart topping career days gone??

A few years ago when justin was a fresh faced teen, young girls went crazy over him and he became the biggest pop star in the world.

Its been years since his last album Believe and he has suffered (through his own fault) a lot of bad publicity and controversy.

Do you all think he can come back and become the worlds biggest male pop star again or will his sales diminish?

We can but hope.

a) Was he ever the world's biggest male popstar?

b) Sure he could make a comeback. All he needs is time off and a reinvention of himself. Look at what Miley Cyrus did - now she's known for a completely different image and style than she had as a teen star.

Or look at that member of the Jonas Brothers that's also completely reinvented himself. Pop moves in ebbs and flows, hardly anyone is consistently successful year on year, their fanbase moving with them. Rihanna is probably the big exception here, she had a remarkably long string of consecutive album and single campaigns; most people come in with an image and some songs, capitalise on it, take a year off and reinvent and come back with another. Bieber's management's just waiting for a gap in the market.

He was never that big here in the UK anyway was he. At least not As big as the media/fanbase made out. He single and album chart positions and sales are hardly worth writing home about.

He has only topped the uk chart once as far as I can see. So not only are his chart topping days over, but they barely started.

He was never big here in the UK at all, and nor will he ever be. His media reputation was bigger than his sales and chart position, a bit like Little Mix.

If anyone wants to see whether his appeal is still big over here then he will be headlining the first day of Fusion Festival 2015 this August in Birmingham. Tickets go on sale tomorrow 9am

*not all the artists have been announced yet so there will be plenty more on the running order for each day.

In many ways, considering the reputation he has, I wouldn't mind seeing him go completely off the radar for a few years, and then come back down the line as a man. Right now, he's still a complete brat, but he may do well if he went off, changed his image and released some more mature music ala Justin Timberlake.

After all, he can't be a teenage heart throb forever.

Yep his career is over. He was really only a one hit wonder, the only reason he got success for Believe was because he was going out with Selena Gomez.

I think he could benefit from making more mature music but at the age Bieber is now, Timberlake will still a member of N Sync and I think making music at the same level (in terms of mature music). At 21, N Sync whilst moving slightly away from the teen sound of their first two albums with their third album, it was still a teen sound. Even JT's debut album was still around that level. It wasn't until his mid 20s and his second album JT started to make more mature music.
