I didn't even realise Frozen WAS by Madonna until I recently bought the Ray of Light album. It had always been one of my favourite songs of the 90s/early 2000s though, I remember it being on the radio a lot and being a soundtrack song at events and maybe on TV too.

A similar thing happened with Michael Jackson

I personally think the Evita soundtrack was more of a comeback for Madonna, which was before Frozen and contains some powerful ballads. Madonna can do uptempo dance tracks as well as moving ballads, and much like Whitney she does both equally well

I think Frozen is a hypnotic, mesmerising masterpiece of a song. Definitely one of her best, in my opinion. It's beautiful and haunting and the William Orbit production is terrific, sort of dreamy with an unearthly-like quality and Madonna's vocals are perfection on it. You can really hear the vast improvement in her singing after all the vocal training she must have had for Evita. I honestly can't sing the song's praises highly enough. As much as I love (most of) Rebel Heart I do think the production quality on it is quite poor compared to an album like Ray Of Light. Perhaps it's mainly the horrendous OTT auto-tuning on Madonna's vocals that annoy me the most though! Madonna didn't need such overt sounding auto-tuning on her albums before and she certainly doesn't need them now, imo! Not when her natural singing voice is better than ever, going by when I last saw her live! Oh I know she lip-synched some of the tracks like Vogue and Girl Gone Wild but when she sang songs like Masterpiece and I Don't Give A.... live she sounded amazing. Stop with the bloody autotuning. Keep it for people who really can't sing a note in tune without it!
