front facing smartphone cameras
I know that in general front facing cameras on smartphones are OK to take the occasional photo, but is there any big difference between cameras that are the same resolution?
For example, is the photo quality very similar on both the Nexus 6 and Galaxy S5 front facing 2mp cameras? What are your opinions regarding 5mp front facing cameras? Thanks in advance. |

Megapixels aren't the sole factor in determining how good a camera is, that being said they still can be important for detail. In the latest batch of phones (iPhone 6, S6 and HTC One M9) they've all received updates to their front facing cameras that are meant to give more low light detail to selfies and the like, indeed in the M9 I think that HTC put the One m8/7 "ultrapixel" sensor in the front.
TLDR: The current gen of smartphones all have pretty good front facing cameras. |
