I think that could be a factor, but then again I don't see why they should have to stick to that demographic. The show has evolved in a positive way in recent years imo.

I'd imagine it'll be at least a year or two but who knows.

Vicious series 2. Looking forward to this. But I imagine this will be the next programme with potential to be scheduled badly by ITV. Tuesday at 9pm?

I notice ITV were below 2m again last night at 9pm. Another programme that only appeals to a BBC audience when on BBC1.

This year has been worse that last year for the number of poor ratings. Are these factual series all down to Klein? Can ITV really be happy with 1.7m at 9pm? Or even 1.2m for a comedy?

Good Morning Britain Down on Daybreak but Q1 Offers Hope

ITV has lost 6% of its breakfast audience since the launch of Good Morning Britain - although there have been signs of improvement in the first quarter of 2015.

The ITV Studios format, which is fronted by ex-BBC Breakfast anchor Susanna Reid and Tipping Point presenter Ben Shephard, celebrated its first-year anniversary on Tuesday this week after launching in April 2014.

After a promising debut audience of 800,000 (20.3%) on 28 April, ratings declined over its first six months and its first full year on air has seen it underperform its predecessor Daybreak.

Between 28 April 2014 and 28 April 2015, Good Morning Britain secured an average overnight audience of 574,000 (15.4%), which was 6% down on the 609,000 (16.1%) Daybreak secured over the same period the previous year.

Good Morning Britain also failed to match the audience Daybreak generated for its first 12 months on air. Between 6 September 2010 and 6 September 2011, the Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley-fronted show drew an audience of 715,000 (17.6%).

Green shoots

But there were green shoots for Good Morning Britain after the show pulled in 652,000 (16.2%) in March – its best month to date. This helped ITV grow its first quarter breakfast audience for the first time in a decade, according to the broadcaster.

During the first three months of 2015, Good Morning Britain drew of 618,000 (16.2%), while Daybreak averaged 607,000 (16%) over the same period last year.

“ITV Breakfast is up year on year for the first time in 10 years for the first quarter of 2015 and March 2015 saw GMB’s highest full month audience figures yet. ITV is pleased with the show and confident about it going forward. It is here to stay,” an ITV spokeswoman said.

I think instead of launching two new comedies back to back ITV should have one follow an established programme. Always thought Vicious should have gone after BGT on a Saturday.

CSI Cyber is only 13 episodes, which is more manageable for a US TV series on C5.

Without wanting to cloud judgement on a show that you haven't seen, I have to say that it feels a little dated and if you know anything about current tech, then you will find yourself laughing.

We have found that turning the programme into a drinking game works so much better for it.

Every time you get a techno dance music montage for 'examination of objects' - have a drink.

When Patricia Arquette's boobs are thrust forward in a scene (usually when she is implying that she is taking command of a situation) - have another drink

and

finally another drink when yet again Patricia's character notices a subtle hand movement or bruise on a 'witness' - usually zoomed in so that you can see it

by the end of the show you will be quite pissed.

Remember ........... It could happen to you

(Please drink responsibly)

Good news there H, I have really been looking forward to this new series. It's a shame that it has been delayed for so long.

I hope that ITV still have faith in the show whatever it's ratings turn into. As you have said, it does need to be in the right place.

I wonder if we'll be seeing a few schedule interruptions later tonight, similar to when Kate's first child was born.

24/7 Baby instead of 24/7 Election, BBC Breakfast live, ITV currently pre recorded, you can see why GMB is not doing well, there all having a lay in when there is important news on. Cameron was live on Breakfast today able to react to Kate's news.

Yes, it's worked out very nicely for BBC Breakfast. Good for them.

Do they think showing NCIS LA will make up for losing NCIS and NCIS NO, maybe it will maybe it won't

Yes BBC Breakfast wins by a knockout in the biggest weekend of news, ITV in the bed!

Royal baby.
Last weekend of election.
Earthquake.
Big boxing match.
End of football season coming up and winners and losers.

This is why people tune into the BBC as they know it us on.

I can still recall quite vividly for the first royal baby BBC One leaving the news coverage and going to a pre recorded edition of The One Show whereas ITV stuck with the view of the hospital and delayed ED. Everyone watched ITV despite the BBC returning just in time to see Prince George. The BBC aren't perfect either.

Hopefully BBC1 will be there for the big moment and not cutaway like they did for the previous birth when William and Kate emerged from the hospital.

Soap ratings are in and they don't make great reading:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...pbwe1bCMwERam6

Not great for any of them but I think that EE rating is particularly poor, given there was a big shock promised and an extended episode. Beaten by both Corrie's even with the tactics of running into the second Corrie.

Given that itv are experts at deliberately clashing hour long episodes of Emmerdale with EastEnders, I'd say the BBC are giving as good as they get. A shame it was only for five minutes.

Why does GMB need to be on Saturday just so they can broadcast a report on Kate giving birth? Are they going to give a running commentary of how she's having it?

Kate's had the baby and her 2nd one. Nothing important enough for ITV to put GMB on this morning. Let's not forget weekends Breakfast has its lowest ratings. Therefore GMB would be around 150K, not enough viewers to be worth broadcasting on Saturday.

Again its important to remember that the BBC is being funded by the public, no other channel has this privilege.
