I'm wondering if the actor was unavailable for some reason. At least I'm hoping that the Liz smashing up plates scenes were last minute filler as they were dreadful.
And I can't see that been it. Even if he was unavailable, the episodes are filmed very far in advance so surely they could have filmed scenes later anyway as everything is filmed out of sequence. I just think it's another mishap and I assume he'll be in it tomorrow when that story comes to a head. |

With regards to Corrie this week. I'm surprised people were expecting 9m this week. It was never going to shoot up that much from a relatively low base and in it's current state.
The most peculiar thing for me this week has been the strange absence of Tony pretty much all week after the affair was revealed on Monday (he's only appeared in the Tuesday episode so far). |

If Blatter is re elected a boycott of 2018 World Cup looks likely I think. How would ITV fell without all the qualifires to show leaving them with no football except friendlies. And would anyone show the boycotted World Cup and how would it rate.

The threat of a boycott is a load of crap to be honest
Perhaps an alternative tournament would be held featuring Europe and the other countries who are boycotting. |

Even #EastEnders at 7;30pm - lowish 4.9m - struggling against might of ITV's #BGT, 8.1m, then 7.7m for results with #Corrie in between, 8.9m Big improvement for Corrie there with it winning the night for the first time. BGT performances OK but a little down (with a nicer evening yesterday I had thought that might be the case) but the biggest of the week for the results. |

Big Brother climbed a little to 1.00m (6.3%) following yesterday's drama.

Channel 4 found something that works against BGT.
Inside Jaguar scored an excellent 1.53m (7.2%) at 9pm, comfortably beating both BBC2's The Game (0.92m/4.3%) and C5's The Hotel Inspector Abroad (0.86m/4.0%). |

Good ratings for Corrie but undeserved - last two eps were a mess, bad acting apart from the fab Jane Danson, bad writing, loads of SOR's IMO. There was no sense of panic, urgency etc. Who tries to reason with a little girl about getting out a burning building? Too hell with what she thought, I'd grab them and get the hell out.

Corrie had 8.44m (38.6%) excluding repeats. The share is very good but it wasn't that long ago the show was getting such shares on a regular basis. Blackburn has a lot to answer for. Quote:
A weak episode, good stunt but the rest was average. I can see why fans have complained about the quality of the show. H Of De Vil I take it all back! I get it now.
Ratings will need to tank before anything changes though. That's what happened with EastEnders. And EastEnders us a bit hit and miss at the moment too. This week's episodes have actually been mediocre, worst they have ever done in BGT week, but even weak drama is better than SB's usual output. It's also easy to sell things in trailers, especially stunts, so I'm not surprised there's some casual interest despite the farcical execution of the episodes. |

I'm sure itv was also helped by BBC One's no-show schedule last night: Watchdog and a bizarrely placed Panorama documentary on the Troubles. Oh well. Public service broadcasting alternative and all that.

I think EE falling below 5m was inevitable since it was only just over it on Monday/Tuesday. At least it's managing to avoid falling to record lows.

1.09m for Big Brother.
BOTS went over half a million for the first time since launch. |

Good rating for CS all things considered. The episode was a poor advert though for the show as it was riddled with implausibility and bad acting.
