No one likes a smart arse.

And if you're so good at predicting ratings why aren't you taking part in the DSRPG?

Regarding Coronation Street I said I didn't expect it to be as close to 2014 as some say; not that it shouldn't be... if that make sense.

Britain's Got Talent down around 300k viewers on last year but up on share. I presume last year must have had horrible weather compared to this year.

It's like a school playground in here at times. No wonder people have drifted away.

Anyone got the week so far ratings for BGMT on ITV2?

Agree I think last night's rating will be the highest it can go this series.

I suppose the Jaguar documentary was an easy watch, where as when watching the game you have to concentrate. At 9pm a lot of people are almost in the land of nod.

I watched the game, going to be a good final ep next week. Really enjoying this drama. Tom Hughes is excellent. Interesting fact although it is set in London, most of it was filmed in Birmingham.

Indeed good psb, which should appease the tory's?

I am rubbish at the ratings prediction game. I haven't been right once!

To be honest I'm more surprised it took this long for Corrie to get a rating close to 9m for BGT week. Should have happened with Wednesday's episode. As crappy as Corrie might be at the moment it still has enough to get a boost for a big storyline, such as with the bus crash.

So when people said they weren't expecting 9m I think they were covering themselves. Not you Fudd. I won't name names as it would be unfair on Andy23!

Wasn't it getting over a million for the audition rounds? It's gone the same way as Xtra Factor.

Same happens every year. After the 7.30-10pm marathon it's a lot to ask people to sit through another hour, plus it ends at 11pm which on a weeknight is pretty late for this sort of show.

If you watch it, you'll see Stephen hasn't go an ego. He often jokes that BGMT has only 1 viewer. He makes BGMT more entertaining than the main show.

Regarding Big Brother:

Big Blagger ‏@bigblaggeruk 2h2 hours ago
Channel 5 are considering reducing the current length of this series, more info as we get it #bbuk #bbtimebomb

For those wondering, we've had this information off Ben Frow at C5 #bbuk

Big Blagger tends to be reliable on Big Brother news.

Also it has young skewing shows EastEnders and Big Brother starting alongisde it this year whereas last year EastEnders started halfway through More Talent and Big Brother didn't launch until after Britain's Got Talent finished.

Very interesting that Frow is effectively publicly conceding that this series is past saving. I wouldn't disagree and I'm in favour as long as they don't intend to make up the weeks by extending the upcoming CBB. The summer one always rates worse than the winter series as it is, it doesn't need to be any longer. The main product needs to be protected else it will go the same way as BB.

In addition to this, Sky are now showing tonight's show as episode 18 of 32.

This suggests the final will now be on 12th June.

So one of the four HMs going in tonight could win £100,000 for 2 weeks work?

Doesn't seem right to me. I'd be very surprised if it turns out to be that much of a cut. Logistically I don't know how it could work.

It is looking like Blatter will be relected. Uefa seem pretty strong about boycotting the world cup so it could happen. How would ITV fell if there was no qualifiers.

Love island will be promoted to ITV in a knock out competition called Champions of ITV 2 league

I imagine it'll end in late July or early August with a short break before CBB returns in mid August.

I do think perhaps next year they should start later but June has Euro 2016 so they're a bit of a pickle.

Interestingly MTV listings (on DigiGuide) don't show Big Brother repeats from Monday 15th June. 'Teen Mom' is listed at 19:00 instead.

I can't see it either; maybe shedding a couple of weeks off the end but not to this extent. If they were evicting four housemates tonight without any entries then maybe.

UEFA would hold matches between member nations if need be, or maybe run the qualifiers outside FIFA on the basis that if anything changes at the top they could still participate in the World Cup. Or they might hold another European Championship in 2018 as many nations (England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain) have the infrastructure in place so they'd simply play qualifiers for that.

I don't think it will come to that, though.

I'm really enjoying BB this year. Surely it would make more sense to keep the series going at its original length since they've spent money on the house set?

Does this mean they are not making a profit? Surely whatever thy replace it with will rate worse and make less money?

C5 press pack for w/c 13th June has dropped, and BB is listed nightly as per usual. Although, I've also read that C5 bosses are giving Endemol a week - if things don't improve by next Friday, then a cut of some description is likely.

Those MTV listings could easily be changed. They left it very late to slot those repeats in to begin with.

Also, we don't know how well those repeats are performing. The CBB reruns did really well for them in January but with this series of BB struggling on C5, it could be that the demand isn't there for primetime MTV repeats this time around.

um dumb question, but didnt Viacom just increase the over all contract for BigBrother by a few years? if this series has to be cut back, that long term contract does not look good, and given that BigBrother is one of C5s biggest contracts, C5 will start to look very different to Viacom
