Potter had a lower HD component than I estimated at 16% (2.76m inc HD, exc +1).
A higher +1 component than normal though as Broadcast reports a total audience of 3.4m (20.2%).

Love Actually will most likely be 1m+ with +1. Who knew there was such an audience for a Christmas movie in July?

She edged The Outcast on the aggregated measure.

After being pulled earlier in the year, ITV are trying again with The Wonder of Britain. The series resumes with episode 3 on Thursday 6th August at 9pm.

Nice slap in the face for the audience that remained loyal to S1&2 free-to-air on ITV and now have to pay to watch the rest.

**** you ITV.

Presumably extensively re-edited ?

I assume the rights cost less for a channel with smaller reach?

Same thing happened when the BBC dropped Damages and was picked up by a pay channel a couple of years later.

To be fair though, ITV did keep it in prime time for both seasons, but sadly it didn't build an audience.

Multichannels aren't tape-checked, so I've had to estimate it from the ratings for the scheduled slots:

20:00 - "You've Got a Friend - The Carole King Story (r)": 0.86m (4.6%)
21:00 - "Rock 'n' Roll America": 0.93m (5.1%)
22:00 - "How the Brits Rocked America: Go West (r)": 0.64m (4.2%)

The BBC schedule website says the golf coverage ran from 20:00 to 21:55, which gives an approximate average of 0.9m (5%), putting it above BBC Two's Proms over an almost identical slot. (The Proms are no doubt the reason the golf was shunted to Four.)
....
[Rock 'n' Roll America, the new programme, went out at 21:55 and so it probably got a fraction above 0.64m (4.2%).]
ITV Media got hold of the proper timings:

20:00 - Golf: The Open: 902k (5.0%)
21:55 - Rock 'n' Roll America: 656k (4.2%)

Do Amazon still have the online rights to The Americans ? It may be an option for you if they do.

Not the best way to keep up with the show, and you can see why people are driven to alternative means of viewing their shows.

In previous tweets he says the golf averaged 800K on Days 1 & 2

More proof that good factual( not simply people on benefits, medical conditions and sex related shows) will always rate well. 3.5 million is very good for a series that I thought would get 2.5 million. Also the old stager Dragons Den still doing good business on BBC Two with 2.4 million.

Amazon only have Series 1 & 2 as part of their annual Prime deal.

The Americans was never a fit with ITV in the first place. They clearly bought it thinking they had something hot - which they did - but missed that it didn't remotely resemble anything else on the channel and would have little appeal to its core audience. And given they could barely sell any advertising space around Series 1 & 2, quite why they think Series 3 & 4 are a fit with any of their channels is beyond me …

Is there any word on whether ITV Encore will have first dibs on Jekyll & Hyde?

Yesterday's coverage on BBC One averaged 2.1m. Not the whole coverage from previous days.

It would be easier to dump the overrunning Open to the BBC Red Button or BBC2, BBC bosses hate the fact that it is going into the fifth day and they fed up with it by only showing afternoon coverage.
