I think that's a touch unfair. The Euro thing was an attempt at event tv, we had TVUK final and The McIntyre one-off-and presumably The Ark might have been on last night.
Plus Poldark and other solid regular decent rating stuff. Its not a dead loss schedule by any means but it seems sitting round the tv eating your eggs is not on everyones minds these days.

Excluding HD and +1, but not even the addition of those will make ITV's figures look remotely respectable:

Tonight: 1.38m (7.3%)
Midsomer Murders: 1.98m (9.6%)

Ouch! Midsomer was a repeat and the problem is that ITV3 now repeats these 2 hour dramas so often that there is very little value in a main channel repeat screening.

Tonight's rating is just shocking, but then again it was a profile of David Cameron.

Well that explains that.

I'd genuinely prefer to watch paint dry.

Lewis renewed for a ninth series:

Seems a shame that they're sticking with the 2 part format. Filming from May so should be ready for the Autumn. Wonder if they'll toss it on Fridays again or air it elsewhere? Fridays might be a struggle this time with the Rugby World Cup in the way. Alternatively a better idea might be to save it for early 2016.

Nick Clegg's episode airs on Thursday. I had thought there was a possibility of it going under a million based on that rating for Cameron, but it has an Emmerdale sandwich so it'll probably have its blushes spared, on this occasion.

Anything for Derbyshire on BBC Two / News Channel. Be interesting to see if it held up on News Channel against Sky News.

Consistent for EastEnders.

I'm guessing this will be the norm for Summer ratings. 6-6.5m.

It's shocking really how TV has gone down so much the past 10 years and even 5 years.

10 years ago EE and Corrie were Still making 10m in the summer sometimes.

With multi channel tv available to everyone now, Netflix, Interwebs and games consoles, the TV audience is continuing to fragment. The fall in figures should level out soon and find it's new level.

The next big question is whether SKY decide to sell out completely to the French company Vivendi.

A sellout could increase subscription costs for some viewers and force through another change in viewing habits.

I watch these two parters as one. Currently got DCI Banks and Code of a Killer waiting for episode 2. Watched Vera last night without adverts. Cuts nearly 25% off viewing time.

Was sunset at 7.30pm or something? Because despite the hot weather EastEnders was stable week on week while Emmerdale was down 470k.

Don't have the News Channel figures, but on BBC2 it averaged 100,000 and a 1.1% share. Ominously, it was down to 80,000 by the end.
