Does anyone know how O'Brien has been doing on ITV? I know it had a terrible start but was wondering if it had improved at all.

It would be a new demo that don't usually watch the BBC News Channel.

I was thinking about this the other day. Maybe Fridays at 9pm after Have I Got News For You finishes its run?

BBC One is continuing its hunt for a successful mid-afternoon quiz. After Pressure Pad, The Link and The Edge ("the show that's about brains and balls" ) comes Decimate on April 20th.

MTV's Geordie Shore burst back onto the multichannel scene with a strong 450k (2.9%) last night, according to ITV Media.

Not bad shares but it just shows how the available audience is going down. There are likely to be some horrendus figures in the summer.

Very quiet on here today!

Interesting ratings news this afternoon - BBC One has had its best first quarter for a decade with a 23.3% all day share and a 25.2% peak time share.

Last Tango In Halifax, Silent Witness and Death in Paradise have all had their most successful series to date.

Well BBC are not rushing to show a lot of their own drama content so I would not hold your breath. I expect it will be burned off over the summer but like you I am anxious to see it.

Going to watch Secret Briitain but see The Island is repeated on monday late night so will watch that then.

Good to see Ordinary Lies maintaining 4.5m overnight. ITV struggled poorly though.

Looks like Liverpool are into the FA Cup semi-final though the match has not been that exciting.... Makes for a better semi against Aston Villa at Wembley though.

Big episodes for Emmerdale this week - the rise from Monday to Tuesday was promising to hopefully we'll see another rise tonight.

Not many were interested in the portrait of David Cameron then, unless they all watched in HD? Nick Clegg is on Thursday, Ed Miliband the following Thursday and then the other two in the weeks after that. I'm guessing the Nigel Farage one might do better.

STV & ITV Border Scotland of course didn't show MM as they had the Scottish Leaders Debate, do we know what the rating/share was for that

It was basically a dead week this week as there was international football last week, champions league the next two weeks and STV opting out, so no real point doing anything substantial.

BBC One Scotland had their own debate tonight, will be interesting to see the rating for that one as well. Not sure who's idea was to schedule them both on consecutive days. Seems a bit much even for people really interested in politics.

I'm finding it slightly strange that Still Open All Hours has not been renewed after the controller of BBC1 mentioned in The Guardian this week about its excellent ratings.

BIB - I can't believe the BBC has been so idiotic with this. It's had rave reviews in the US … so why relegate it after it was commissioned for BBC One? And why p*ss off one of the UK's best writers? The height of stupidity!

Looks a bit disappointing for The Island. They'd have been hoping for comfortably over 2m and perhaps close to 2.5m for the launch. It'll need to hold up well now, but 2 nights per week might damage it a bit.

Was Secret Britain a bit like ITVs Wonder of Britain? If so why has it done so much better ratings wise?
