From what I saw it was a 10 minute section of Countrywide stretched to a hour, with two very irritating presenters.

Good for Emmerdale to rise again, it's been brilliant this week. With the hitman episodes tonight hopefully it'll go higher. Neighbours is usually against Doctors but that's off for Easter so I'm surprised Neighbours 1.45 isn't at least a bit higher, despite the hot weather.

ED is great as always. Consistently blows the other soaps out of the water and gets no credit for it. The alcoholic storyline and sexual assault storyline have both been handled brilliantly.

The share is a lot higher than normal though.

Talking of higher shares.

"@overnightstv: #TheIsland with @BearGrylls made good start with 1.9m/9.1% on C4 from 9pm - higher Share (but lower 000s) than S1 launch @ShineGroupTV"

The Laurel alcoholic story has been excellent. A long standing character slowly decending into alcoholism before our eyes. It is not usual to run a story over months and months. The triggers for it have also been there. Alcohol becoming the crutch due to personal/family trauma.

The press pack for Shetland is out.

Some good guest stars, but Julie Graham is still in it.

Prey is returning to ITV later this year with a completely new story and will star Philip Glenister:

This is the second series of Secret Britain and it's an offshoot of Countryfile. The first series aired in August 2010 presented by Matt Baker & Julia Bradbury. Then it aired on Sunday nights getting over 6m viewers

It has been mentioned quite a bit on Countryfile so that will help its audience and it does still feature 2 popular presenters from that show

Shetland was bit dull to be honest although well made but Prey was just silly IMO. Not sure I will bother with either.

Secret Britain rating ok, well down on the first series but still decent enough. Some of the Countryfile presenters are annoying - maybe the accents and over excitement, but still popular with some viewers.

If I was searching for words to describe Ellie Harrison, irritating certainly wouldn't be among them.

The first episode did 6m against itv flop (The Unforgettable Jeremy Beadle 2.3m)but the other 2 fell to around 5m against Martin Clunes' Horse Power (4.2m approx)

I'm sure you'll change your opinion if ITV ever poach them

Wonder why it has taken them 5 years to do a second series of Secret Britain? Seems very odd. Unless it's spent 4 years on the shelf.

Broadcast reporting that ITV have ordered a second series of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.

No details about the number of episodes or an airdate yet though (although I assume it will air around the same time next year).

Could Newzoids be a spitting image or a mistake to spit at for ITV and will The Delivery Man deliver the goods? Will the election debate poll a similar audience on BBC One as it did on ITV? Could the first Formula One race of the season on free-to-air television speed away with the viewers and who will score highly in the matches between the Madrid clubs and Arsenal/Reading? Which show will win through between Inside Harley Street and Skint? Will Banished finish on a high? Could Ice Rink on the Estate skate off with a large audience and will The X Men be First Class?

Why not have a go at the DS Ratings Prediction Game? Just click

Thank you in advance to everyone who takes part.
