Ouch. Only 68,800 (0.4%) viewers for TLC’s If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World.

Why anyone would watch this show. Why anyone would give her a show.

Are the soap ratings out? On quality it should be Emmerdale's highest of the week, however the weather and no Corrie to boost it may hinder that...shame if so.

Sure more people would watch if it were on a freeview channel maybe?

Odd that the first Emmerdale yesterday was the lowest of the week.

Good figures there, but it shouldn't really have just scraped above Eastenders. The quality of last nights episodes was very high. Of course you wouldn't know that unless you watched them.

Well the way Wednesday's ED unfolded I doubt many people expected the 2 deaths last night. The jump for the second episode and high +1 suggests that.

Decent recovery for EastEnders from Tuesday.

So Emmerdale this week, including +1 (source - DS):

03/08 - 6.4m (36%)
04/08 - 6.7m (35%)
05/08 - 6.8m (37%)
06/08 - 6.3m (36%)
06/08 - 6.8m (35%)

The raw shares are really good. Would have been nice to see one episode touch 7 million, but it wasn't to be.

Any ratings, apart from Channel 4, for the main channels at 9pm?

I think the bad summer has helped soap ratings stay on the hiigher side the past month.

I don't quite understand why The Wonder of Britain is doing so badly. Its hardly like its not quality factual. Is it so niche its BBC4 material.

Btw How badly did Flockstars do? I'm betting sub 2m.

Stunning rating of 1.81m (10.0%) for Cricket on 5 last night, rising to 2m (11%) with +1 included. The slot average is 497k (2.6%).

Live coverage of the day's play secured an audience of 489,000 (6.2%) for Sky Sports 2.

The ratings are good but the shares are brilliant and the best of the year.

On last night's Emmerdale rating, some people might've thought Ruby was the only death hence the slightly lower figure for the first episode, but the second one bounced back well. Good shares for both.

Month long flounce - not one of my finest moments !

I knew it would be hard to stay away if the numbers threatened to get interesting and there's been plenty happening of late.

But fear not folks, I won't be cluttering up the thread with 20+ posts a day. I'll be more selective this season. Like a less classy version of Steve Williams.

Thanks Score.

The Wonder Of Britain looks slightly up on last time. Is that right? Sex In Class looked like a show designed to trend on Twitter. Glad it didn't do much better. Good to see BBC2's Atlantic series hold up well. Watched it after Death In Paradise.

A Death In Paradise repeat topping 9pm. We are in Summer TV season all right!

DANCC! Welcome back mate!

All of these good Channel 5 ratings and you weren't around to comment on them! It didn't feel right.

Anyway. Thoughts on their factual doing really well and Lip Sync Battle coming which you called months ago!

I'm not surprised. When I heard about the wickets tumbling during the day I had to see the highlights.

Glad you're back. It's definitely been getting interesting again. Some early signs that Autumn is approaching have been creeping into the schedules on BBC1 and C5's factual has been doing well. It'll be interesting to see how an August Celebrity Big Brother does not coming directly off the back of regular BB in a couple of weeks as well.

The two episodes of Wonder of Britain back in January got 1.7m and 1.8m so no change. Probably a slightly higher share with it being Summer but still dismal. Speaking of dismal ITV ratings...

Freeze Out - 1.07m/10.1%
Pointless - 2.83m/26%

Ahh, thank you!! Ratings are extremely addictive, as you know. The daily ups and downs fascinate me. And there's nowhere else you can talk about them as in depth as we do in here. So it was inevitable I would be tempted back eventually. Still, I may have just set a world record for shortest ever flounce from an online community. Just having that verified now.

In all seriousness, very strong period of ratings for C5 and not just benefits related programmes either. Ben Fogle's programme always had the potential to be a big hit so I'm not surprised it's finally getting those kind of figures, more surprised that it's taken this long but it was scheduled perfectly this series and took advantage of some low rated opposition on BBC One and ITV. I think Lip Sync Battle is a good commission IF they attract the right talent - Frow says they will aim to do so but the intent is one thing and delivering on that is another - and also if it opens more doors for them in entertainment, then great (he also said he isn't looking to commission any further entertainment until figures are through for LSB, so quite a lot of pressure on it to do well if people want C5 to be more entertainment focussed).

Comparing like with like the first two episodes of Wonder of Britain got 1.31 m and 1.49 m in overnights back in January - ITV then pulled it.It was up against Silent Witness on BBC1.
