Well I'd imagine YBITR will get a 6-8 episode order for next year. But remember, this effectively takes the place of DOI (albeit a far shorter run) which was cancelled. Unless that returns next year, I think they'll probably still be looking at other projects for him given the evidently limited lifespan left on The Cube.

Especially as YBITR seems to have done so well (against the odds) with no other name talent apart from him. Whether he's a draw or he just picks his projects well, his track record is pretty decent.

Just dont see what he can do on tv at all. He is fine on the radio though.

He's a very competent TV presenter that has been in charge of arguably the most successful LE format in the UK at its height- There isn't many people that can boast that experience- He'd make an ideal host for trying a Light Ent launch with as you know he'll be able to deal with it (rather than throwing someone like Alex Jones in at the deep end) I'd think we'll be seeing more of him, but it just won't be as lucrative as XF

Well I would have thought he could turn his hand to presenting anything live, but he did do a young persons Question Time before the last election. I just wonder whether he might turn up a bit more in that kind of area.

Saying that, I can't help recalling that ITV tried him out on The Marriage Ref - though that format was doomed to failure.

I think The Voice final could achieve 8m

I'm sure i heard he has a degree in politics, or something including politics. Dermot is a good presenter and as said has presented for eight years one of the most popular live entertainment shows in recent time. He presented Little Brother live week in week out for years, the man sure knows live TV and that's what will suit him.

I could see him doing a BBC quiz show, maybe a lottery one?

YBITR is a hit.

Not a huge one, granted. But in the context of all other original Light Entertainment offerings at the moment, it's doing very well.

Looks like Thunderbirds are Go! is going to air on ITV1 at 8am on Saturdays, could have been worse I guess, but I am disappointed it wont be in primetime, or even early evening.

Seems as though ratings will be delayed today.

There is an industry-wide BARB data delay, so UK TV viewing figures for last night will not be available at usual time of 9.30...

This is a broadcaster who is showing Jeremy Kyle Show four times on Easter Sunday, Worst broadcaster ever.

Perhaps they're trying to encourage people to do something fun and enjoyable with their long weekend rather than sitting at home watching TV all day.

6.09m/6.41m (25.6%/26.9%) for last night's Coronation Street.

Not bad considering it was out of slot. Thought it would be a million lower.

Poldark always looked like a hit and has proved to be so. Onedin Line next?

People shouldn't be surprised Coronation Street had a decent rating. It's Sunday night and it's not facing Strictly.

Strong numbers for the premiere of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters on C5 (1.5m/6%).

Wonder how long ITV plan to be running repeats of Celebrity Chase for? They aren't doing awfully but some new content would be better (even just new episodes of Celebrity Chase) and it probably isn't doing Off Their Rockers any favours.

They've started filming a new series of Sunday Night at The Palladium but I don't know when it'll actually be on.
