Good weather taking its toll?

Looks like it. All three soaps are being affected in a similar way. Also looks like a decent number of ED viewers watch Masterchef, the good news being the majority caught up on +1. In fact the difference in shares between the 7pm and 8pm ED shows that there were a lot more viewers around at 8pm.

Decent enough start for W1A.

I'm shocked Newzoids was that low - I think it's great. It was trending on Twitter for nearly the whole of Weds evening this week so figured it would have done better than that.

That is going to drop as the previous series was better.

Thanks Bushmills. The weather denting both but that's a cracking share for Pointless. O'Grady not doing great. He's about where he was last year so I'm not sure why they've brought the show back really, at least not at 5pm anyway.

I think the repeats on BBC2 before that did better and BBC News was doing better at that time before she arrived too.

I expect the BBC News channel is rating higher than BBC2 for VD. They must have a default slot average higher than 39k?

Broadcast reporting that ITV are definitely doing The Sound of Music Live at some point this year.

Pre-Derbyshire the News Channel audience for that slot was about 136,000 according to DS, can't see it being anywhere near that now. She did say the ratings would be the test of whether the programme was successful or not

Disappointing for Emmerdale but it was against Masterchef. The weather won't be as good tonight so hopefully that'll reflect in the ratings.

That really is a sackable set of numbers, the programmes are utterly pish - its hard to imagine anyone clearing the decks to make an appointment to view either DDDS or IRotE once never mind three or so times.

When it comes to factual ITV doesn't know its audience. Channel 4 gets it right more often than not. Some of ITV's either aren't right for the channel or aren't right for 9pm.

Does anybody know how the programmes on BBC2 on weekday mornings were doing before they were replaced by Victoria Derbyshire's programme?

When the weather is good a programme is much better off going out after 8pm.
