This morning, after the overnight clocks change, my HUMAX missed several manual timer recordings, local News (Can only set it up for Daily) , SKY Papers etc.

They also disappeared from the EPG

When I tried to re-enter the same times, to record entire series again, I was not allowed to, saying there was a conflict with the same timer, even though it had disappeared !!

Seems to be a problem with just SKY News, and BBC News !!

If I go forwards a few days, same problem, but I can enter recording timer, but only for a single event.

For other Channels, I can enter series recordings no problem...

I have re-booted the box a couple of times, no better.

This reminds me of my Technisat Freeview PVR, which on clock change days, twice a year, it all goes to pot until the following day !!

So, I will try again tomorrow...

Single recordings set up for SKY News Papers at 22:30 and 23:30 still remain OK.

The box needs to be on during the time change to update its clock as it happens, otherwise the box will not update the time until it's next turned on or when it wakes up 15 mins before a recording start time to get the information from the freesat transponder.
So in this case the chosen start time would have already been and gone when the box woke up which is why it didn't record.
As for the conflict you could try selecting Planned Recordings and delete/cancel the timer you already set if it's there.

Thanks
The box is left switched on permanently.
It did a manual recording at 6am, but not the other 6 before 9am, and they all disappeared from the timer EPG !!
As for deleting planned recordings, none show, until I try to set a timer for the same time, then I get the error message. !!
Perhaps it'll all come good tomorrow morning !

I did a power off / power on as suggested, with a 10 minute delay, and the manual recordings for tomorrow morning re-appeared in the Planner EPG.

They must have always been there, but hidden, which is why I couldn't redo the timers, nor delete any.

A couple of recordings since the delayed reboot, have been OK

Still at a bit of a loss as to why one manual recording this morning was ok, the 2nd one, but all subsequent ones didn't record, and they disappeared from the Planner EPG.

When I checked the recording at 6:10 am this morning, the box clock was correct, with the new Summer Time.

All Humax PVR's are designed to be left in standby and the HDR-1000S performs several checks on startup, which you will miss,

It will wake to make recordings and you will save about £35 p.a. in electricity.
(Based upon a unit price of 11.3p inc. VAT, 48w-0.5w power consumption and 6 hours viewing per day.)

Looks like I need to put the Humax on standby, if even just for a short period overnight !

I do find it annoying though as it switches off, without any warning, especially if watching something, either live or pre-recorded, perhaps "Would you like to Stay On " type message, as on all my TV's !

It switches off automatically after 3 hours of inactivity which can be disabled in the settings menu.
As already advised elewhere it's not advisable to leave it on constantly 24/7 so should be put into standby when your not watching anything.

I had the same problem as original poster
I usually turn off the standby after the evenings viewing to save electricity.
Should it be left on standby ?
At other clock changes I have had no problem , but on March 30 th it was was recording the programme an hour early, before the one selected.
I retuned and it now seems ok.
When I pressed" searching for updates "there were none found.

Yes you should put it in sby. There are issues with the way the box handles recordings active over the clock change period. Was the recording by any chance a manual one ? Ones made from the epg usually work OK as the epg and current clock time compensate for each other.

It was from the epg
I don't understand a previous post about saving £35 per annum in electricity

Strange no issues with any of mine.

Using Repassacs numbers.

The box uses approx. 48W of power when fully on and about 0.5W in full sby.

Repassac assumed fully on for 6 hrs/day. If left on 24/7 the box will be using around an additional 47.5W for 16hrs/day. A unit of electricity is measured as 1000 Watt Hours. (1KWH)

The excess consumption will 47.5 * 16 * 365 Watt hours = 277400

This will cost 277400 / 1000 * 11.3 approx. 3134p (£31.34)

The actual numbers of course will vary with your box usage and current electricity tariff.

Those that turn their unit off at night to save money or out of habit however save very little - assume the extreme that the unit is off for 16 hours a day - using the same figures (much more likely to be off half this time):

The saved consumption will 0.5 * 16 * 365 Watt hours = 2920)

This will save 2920 / 1000 * 11.3 approx. 33p p.a.
