Big problems with HTC One M8

Until the other week I had no trouble what so ever with my M8 but all of sudden it would not turn on, even though it had been fully charged. I tried everything to turn it on, power button/power button plus volume up/down and with everything pressed at once. Nothing would turn it on.

Took it to Vodafone and they sent it off to be repaired. On Friday I was told they could not fix the phone so HTC had sent a new phone for me instead. Everything was working great until yesterday when it starting to reset itself over and over again. In one hour it must of reset 15 times. Then after working for a hour, turned off and I was stuck with the same problem as before.

This time though I was able to do a factory reset and start again but within one hour it turned off and for the last 8 hours it won't turn on at all.

Any ideas what the hell is going on? From having no issues in 10 months to having two different M8's that won't turn on at all.

I love the look of the HTC one M8, but I wouldn't get one as I had the Desire years ago on a business plan when I was self employed. I got through no less than 6 desire's in 2 years. All software related.

Good luck getting it sorted OP. Would Vodafone consider replacing it for something else? Would you consider having something else?

I had an HTC One for two years, now I have had an HTC One mini 2 for the past few months. I must say I have never encountered a single problem with either.

My guess is the original phone was faulty as new (it is expected with a certain percentage). I also guess that the replacement you got might not have been brand new, but instead might be another faulty one that has been returned and declared good for re-issue. I wish they would just bin them in those circumstances.

Just tell them you're not happy and want another.

Yes, they tend to be reconditioned phones they send you as replacements.

Got mine two months ago and it's worked flawlessly.
