So annoyed we can't vote for Villian Of The Year they should have just left the it how it was including the Sexiest Male and Female Award.

Only three public voted awards. Surprising but the less the better in my opinion.

Only three viewer-voted awards this year it seems, pleased to see such a small number but you have to ask what's the point in only having three, they might as well have none at this point. Another way that I think would be fair, is open all awards to the public BUT have the a panel vote on all awards too, and either have it 50/50, or my preferred option, have it so the viewers vote counts as one vote in the panel. Anyway I voted: Kellie Bright (Laurie Brett and Natalie Anderson would also be worthy winners.) Adam Woodyatt (Although Rudolph Walker's inclusion did tempt me.) EastEnders Edit: Looks like they had a similar idea, from the DS article: Quote:
Another change sees Best Actor and Best Actress now partly put into the hands of the judging panel, with a 50:50 split between the viewer votes and judge votes to decide the overall winner.
Excellent news, but I think they should have done it with Best Soap too.

I'm glad Jessie was there, she got my vote. And I couldn't resist voting for Rudolph for his portrayal of a stroke victim.

Adam and Laurie for me. Kellie Bright has also been fantastic and also credit to Simon Gregson, Alison King, Rudolph Walker, Jessie Wallace and Danny Dyer.
If Adam Woodyatt doesn't win next actor, I will be outraged, as it's so deserved and his live acting and acting on the whole has CLEARLY been the best acting in soap this year! .

Big changes this year it seems. Not sure how I feel about the panel having almost full control. I wonder if they've done this because of the "multi voting uproar".
I hope they're not doing this so every soap goes home with a fair amount of awards, they should be judged on each category. For example if EastEnders had a really good year I don't think they should loose out on awards because Emmerdale haven't got many. It would be interesting to know which actor and actress did receive the most votes and if they actually won. Anyway, I'm voting for Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), Jessie Wallace (Kat Moon) & EastEnders!

My votes were Jessie Wallace, Adam Woodyatt and EastEnders.
I would've voted for Laurie Brett as she's been outstanding but I was so pleased to see Jessie there on the list so my vote went to her as I think she's been fantastic this year as well. I can see Natalie Anderson and possibly Verity Rushworth also challenging for the award.

I do think this is Eastenders' year - especially for Best Soap.
Other than the strong Eastenders line up, I think Natalie Anderson and Simon Gregson are also contenders in the Best Actor/Actress categories. |

With the new regulations, I wonder how Doctors will fair?
They haven't had a huge storyline, compared to other years anyway, so I do wonder if the panel will chose them at all for winners. |
